Found it on google looking for 'tacoma forums' a while back.

I have to say this place kicks ass. Everyone is cool. The site is also very user friendly and fast to load, unlike other forums (eg. tundrasolutions.com which is slow and has two pages of crap before you hit a single thread).

I did a search for Tacoma forums. THis site and a couple of others came up as results. This site seems to have more activity than the others (no names mentioned).

So far this place is a great resource for me.

I think I ran across this site a couple times while doing some research on truck stuff. I finally joined when I wanted answers for some questions I had on lift kits.*yahoo answers fell short when I asked a question on there*. I decided to join a site that had people who could answer questions, so I searched for a Toyota board to join, and found this one. *what better place to join than a site Tacoma centered?* :D

I googled for answers or infos on some common mechanical issues posted by Toyota truck owners who have experienced identical & similiar mechanical problems that I am facing now on my 2000 Tacoma.

Before I bought the Tacoma, I wanted to understand the in's and out's of it and I knew every car has to have a forum associated to it. Tacomaworld was the first one that pop up.

I found TW via Google search...

I found an '01 at a local stealership that i really wanted, came to the decision to leave it be & put a little TLC into my 96 until I find it's replacement.

    That's when I discovered TW
It's a great resource for all the questions I have about my truck as well as newer models I hope to own down the road.
I've developed a bit of 'truck-envy' over the past couple weeks after joining up...
I must say that before coming to TW I never really cared for the 2nd gen Tacomas,
but after seeing what some of the members here have done to them I gotta say you've really changed my mind.

I keep coming back 'cause I'm addicted, & I'm a little frustrated that my day job gets in the way of my TW time

use to go to honda-tech before I had the taco. So naturally searched for another car forum related to my new ride. Liked the layout of TW over Toyota Nation.

I wanted to know how hard it might be to convert my PreRunner into a Hilux diesel. (Euro trash aside) And after browsing around and learning it wont be worth the money I kept coming back here because other interest like roof rack mods and other useful things to do to the truck kept directing me back here. I saw a few things I might be able to help out on so I made the TacoAL account. I wont be here every day but when I am I hope I can contribute as much useful information as I take from the site.

    Thanks,

    -AL
