Anyone have an idea on how to make the pelican case more quick release? If I go the bolt on route I would use wing nuts. I would like to come up with an external clamp style that would allow me to open the case and be able to quickly unclamp and pull the case off.

I'm working on it...have a plan, but unfortunately not going to be able to work on it this weekend, hopefully weekend after this. Will post up when I get time to see if it works.

When I was doing some research about what other people have done, I found out that Pelican is coming out with a line of roof top boxes this summer, just an fyi.

Oh thanks for the link! Might upgrade my rack in the near future. I went ahead and installed my rack and boxes. Drilled and bolted them on. But I love the idea of being able to take them off easily. Could even use one as suitcase for trips if they remove and attach easy.

Those look great. I'm sure they'll be as much as the roof rack was though.

Pelican products aren't cheap, but I use them quite a bit (pretty hard use), and they've yet to let me down, and the lifetime warranty has to be worth something...

Anyone mounted rotopax with the rotopax mounts (I want to be able to lock them) but without the pricy prinsu load panels?

Yes and I sprung for the pricy load panels too but they didn't help, at all. To be fair I was mounting a 4 gallon, they may have worked if I had been mounting two 2 gallon containers.

I have a 2 gallon and will probably be getting another soon but Ik already spending the money on mounting pins for my maxtraxx and the rotopax mounts so I’m not dropping another 200 or hose panels.

I wouldn't drop any money on hose panels either, that seems like a weird thing to mount on your truck.

I drew a picture for you to avoid going outside and taking a picture. Basically you attach the mount to the disc, than drop two of the supplied bolts into one side of the rail and mount the disc so it sits over as much of the rail as possible. Super awesome, right?

That'd probably work too. Assuming you can attach that to the rails, and then the mounts to it? Would've been super awesome if Prinsu had suggested that instead of the more expensive load panels. Could've saved a couple hundred dollars.

Yeah I didn't want to buy the prinsu panels either and this seemed reasonable enough for me to take a chance on it. I've had it mounted to the Prinsu crossbars for almost a year with zero issues.

Here are a few pics with my 4 gallon rotopax mounted. Can't really see the mount itself though.

Kind of irritated I bought the load panels now, but what's done is done. :)

    Which Plano is that?

Like other's have said I used the Rotopax plate and have no issues except I should've gotten shorter hardware

Anyone find great bolts for Thule racks on their Prinsu? I'm anxious to get a Kayak rack installed and would like to order some bolts that fit inside the t-slots, but I'm in Seattle and would rather not spend time in Home Depot touching everything right now.

The supplied ones don't fit inside the channel, as they are built for the Thule wing bars. Would rather buy something optimal than grind these down but if it comes to it fine.

Ok. Ordered a long bed prinsu camper rack. Came with 4 random prices of aluminum thin about a foot long by 2” with 4 holes on both sides. Does it attach to cross members to help with stability. I hate that there’s no instructions. Help please
