Nice. You will Iike it. I built an 11.5 also. I like it much better than when I had it as a 10.5. It's the top one. It may be in my head but the 10.5 was pretty jaw jarring but the 11.5 with the slr linear comp is no different that my 16in. Once you take one apart and replace parts you realize how easy it is and you will want to build more. Truly a big boy Lego situation. 20200320_203422.jpg

If I had to do it again, I would have waited for a 10mm (harder hitting). Don't get me wrong; the one I have is a CBQ beast. I have about 4K rounds though it and have not had a single issue with it. One downside is that the expended casings are often dinged, so if you are a reloader, this weapon will eat some of your casings.

That's the way to do it. Gather the gear, build your own. This way, you get what you want, and you spend a whole lot less. The lego's for adults comment is spot on!!

I'm strongly thinking about trying to build a 10mm in an AR pistol platform for HD but I will have to wait a little until the industry has a little more variety in the 10mm ar parts department. As of now, I think its only a very few right now.

I am also eyeballing the new PC Charger 9mm, smaller package, same great build quality and fun factor.

I am actually thinking about upgrading to the ultimate version. I would be going with the charger but I live in MA and the charger isn't Massachusetts compliant.

I like that a lot, the only thing I would like to change on the PC Carbine, is to have a collapsible stock, just like that one you posted. Is the ultimate version come like that from Ruger, or is it an aftermarket modification?

It comes directly from Ruger like that. I wished that company's would be able to make modifications for the carbine. With the ultimate, you can change out the butt stock and put in a collapsible stock like an AR.

I tried a blowback 10mm. Unless you only are going to shoot weak factory loads, there's just not any way to get enough mass in the BCG/ buffer to make it safe. I had several case blowouts running full house reloads, so I quit trying. I used an 11oz buffer and a tungsten insert in bolt, still not enough weight. Really beat the hell out of the lower too.

I'll sell you an 8" 10mm AR barrel if you really want to try!

All was not lost though.... In addition to 45acp, I use my large frame glock AR lower to shoot 40S&W out of 10mm mags. Works great. 40S&W is my favorite PCC.

But since this is about 9mm.... I SBRd an 80% colt mag lower. Colt mags are cheap and much easier to load than glock mags.

Unpainted lower is an 80% 45ACP. Form 1 can has Al tube and Ti guts

Thanks for the insight. Never thought about the mass of the buffer and bcg being too little. Guess I'll just stick to the 9mm. How is your form 1 can working out? Did you use a kit and assemble your self. Did you have to weld in baffles? All said and done, would you go the form 1 route again or would you just purchase one and form 4 it?

I'm happy with the 45ACP can. It's too large for pistols, but my intention was to only use it on the 45 AR. I got parts in a few different places, really only need to drill holes and clip baffles. The tube has threaded end caps, no welding.

I've only done rimfire and pistol Form 1 cans, will probably do more. I probably won't do any rifle cans myself, would rather have commercial models made out of stuff like stellite, C3, inconnel...

I just can't get use to the looks of a brace. Looks lots cooler spending an extra $200, and having a stock.

I agree the shockwave blade leaves a lot to be desired but the sba3 is good enough and I like the looks. I've decided if I'm going to give Uncle Sam an extra $200 to own something it will be something that makes things go hush hush. I am envious of your collection thought. Don't own anything with a carry handle but on SBR, they just look soo bad ass.
