    That’s what happens when you metal detect for too long, you stop bringing your detector along and just start digging holes all over town...

    I actually think it’s great that you took a photo of a zebra tail while you were detecting - I have kept my good camera packed away for too long and need to start appreciating and looking at more again whenever I am out. It’s a warning sign of worrying about too many unimportant things!

    Most our stuff is packed up in storage and battery for my good camera is somewhere...but i couldnt find it before we packed so prob end up buying another battery..lol i cant find anything in storage right now

    The nail looks like an old super corroded square nail. Don't think it's a horseshoe nail as they slender and thin (the ones I have found).
    Not sure about the "wheel". Spur maybe?

    Yeah looks like kids or people over the years came and broke all the glass in the area. Some looked like neat pieces. But if dude wasnt there digging a hole i might have dug a bit more. Kinda neat to find a spur wheel

    At most older sites any more, all I find is broken glass.
    Keep an eye on that area and when your friend isn't around, swing there again!
