Good morning all! Happy Friday. I received the ok to begin working from home at least part of the day. I have a huge project that I’ve been working through for about a year and it’s finally coming together. I’ve been managing a new stamping press build that requires an addition to the building which I’m also overseeing. The press was installed last week and the bolster plate on the base that the tools sit on is at my eye height. The thing is massive. Total weight is just shy of 300k and had to be assembled. I’d post a photo but the owner doesn’t want any publicity due to competition. So I’ll be going in to give direction and then leave.

Going to be nasty until tonight.
I really don’t have any ambition to go to work and get soaked.
I need another cup of coffee.....

 

FRIDAY Morning kids. The wife got the word yesterday. Starting Monday my wife will start working remotely, three days a week. She will still need to go into work two days a week. I ‘m just glad it’s less exposure for her.

Good Morning

Yesterday I got my spring yard work done on 1/2 of yard. The other half is to wet. Both riders started right up.

He's getting on in years, I'm guessing he's maybe 15.

I rescued him after a New Years party. He was out wandering in the cold and crying (-2°, I'll never forget), so my drunk-ass was trying to chase him down after midnight, with a laundry basket. All the cars in the neighborhood were gone, so I thought I'd give hem shelter/food for the night, until we found the owners.

As it turns out, he had been out for a while, some other neighbors had been feeding him outside. I learned from those guys, that he had been abandoned by the renters next door to them. He was obviously an indoor cat prior, he'd been declawed (poorly), so they left him to die in the cold. I hate people sometimes.

For over a decade, when I'm home, he's rarely ever further away than an arm's reach. He sleeps on me every night.

He knows.

3 days off.
Not sure where to start. I want to make a spot in the bedroom for a new desk (that I haven't even found yet) and I also need to clean out my side of the walk in closet over the weekend.
