Who told you that you have to have NEW upper control arms??? I have talked to technicians at both superior and Procomp, watched dozens of videos, and have read hundreds or reviews without a zero statement of having to replace upper control arms. Only question I have was what Setting people put their 5100s on when doing a 3 inch lift

Calm down bro... you’re right. You don’t need them at all. Caster will be perfect.

It’s been thoroughly discussed across TW. Maybe try the search function before getting all worked up over a piece of advice. You’re asking for advice, but then arguing when anyone says something that doesn’t confirm what you think you already know. Hope your lift works out exactly the way you’re planning it. It won’t, but hope it does.

You have far too many posts for the very basic lift questions you are asking.

    I am calm,
In fact quiet calm because I know what I’m talking about. I had what I thought was a simple question about an area I have yet to dip into and yet everybody’s giving me advice without actually answering the question, you would get annoyed also,Just saying

And yes, I did do a search engine first and didn’t come up with anything viable so I figured I would ask what I thought was a simple question since so many people had done this because I couldn’t get an answer out of Bistien

Do it how you want to do it. Although it’s a bit silly to get a suspension lift, not use it for actual lift and use a spacer lift instead. People are giving you advice to prevent you from wasting money and doing things wrong.

The 5100s are capable of 2.5”. You will need UCAs to compensate caster, you will also likely need an ECGS bushing to replace your needle bearing. Feel free to not do any of those though. You can and should use stock coils for any of these adjustments. Aftermarket coils should only go on the bottom notch. That’s from Bilstein (Bill Stein/Bistien).

Don’t you think by now I would already have that information and much more, The truck is getting lifted via the pucks, I’m putting the 5100s in at the same time because they’re a smoother ride and I have a original shock blowen out. I believe I answered my own question before asking on here, Was just looking to see what others had come across.
But thank you for NOT giving any input to the actual question.

lol You are one special dude my friend.

You’re right, everything I posted is horrible advice. Along with everyone else’s advice earlier.

Good luck with your lift plan.

    Some tips to help you with communication;
It’s Bilstein, not bill stein or bistein
    Spacer lift, not pucks
    UCAs- upper control arms
    CMC- cab mount chop
    ECGS bushing- read about them

Some just get upset when they get advice, instead of hearing what they want to hear. :notsure:

    That’s very true!
