Got my bottom mount headlight and my 16 inch handlebars on. Damn those things are much taller than I thought they would be! I probably should have settled with something in the 12 or 14" range, but I will see how I like these for awhile. Now I need to reroute or replace the clutch cable and figure out what to do with this wiring that was in the headlight. @Minimag95 did you need to do anything with your wiring? Anyone else have suggestions? I’m thinking stuffing them either in a small box, fork bag or oil bag type compartment and putting them behind the headlight.

Looks good! I still have my stock headlight, but I did have a lot of excess wiring when I worked on mine. For the handle bar controls, I removed all the connectors and just connected the pins together with some heat shrink tubing. All the dash/ speedo wires got cut to length and soldered to clean it up and i think there was still a little excess that got doubled back on themselves and tucked between the spine of the frame and the tank. It was a tight fit putting the tank back on but it fit

Heres what I ended up with. It could be prettier for sure and I didnt have a piece of heat shrink big enough for the "new harness" so I just used electrical tape lol. This is full lock to the left and it looks tight in the pic but theres just enough slack to not pull on the wires. Nothings shorted out yet so idk it seems to be working fine, time will tell I guess...

I was thinking of doing something like that, but I am hesitating because of how irreversible/permanent it is. Now, if I change my mind, which I tend to do often, all I have to do is disconnect the deutsch connectors and I can go back to the old setup. But I am leaning more towards your route as I continue to read/research.

@Minimag95 is your bike a 1200C? Those came stock with the bottom mount headlight so I wonder where all that wiring was from the factory. Just thinking out loud here. Back to searching the interwebz I go...

Yeah it's a '99 1200C. I'm not super familiar with the different headlight setups but if you need me to take any more pics that might help just lemme know

Stock configuration had a 6 inch riser that housed a bunch of wiring and deutsch connectors from the handle bars, pretty sure the headlight wiring just met up with them under the riser and into the harness on the left side of the bike. Heres a couple pics that I dug up. In the first you can kinda see between the fork tubes, above the headlight, where wiring from the bars comes down from the riser and meets up with the headlight wires.

Ugh, procrastinated on getting the grom registered. Now the temp tag is expired and the DMV is closed. Governor apparently ordered a 90 day grace period or something like that so hopefully I will be good still riding it.

Wheel/tire/triple in one box, fork legs in another skinny one. I bet it could ship for under $100

Ah, thanks. So they hid the deutsch connectors in that riser. That makes sense. Did you internally wire the turn signals as well? Not the wires from the indicators but the wires that actually run up to the turn signals.

Yep I wired it all internally. My indicators are actually mounted on the bars not the forks
