I have 2, they’re great. On our runs they make me run faster as well as learn footwork because the black dog will cross in front of me and slow down (he did it twice last night) forcing me to change my cadency to not kick/trip over him.

I recently got myself a pair, love them. I was surprised, and somewhat fascinated by the fact, that while shooting in a loud indoor range, you can hear your own farts perfectly clear, and somewhat amplified. :D

Thanks, they’re both great dogs and both are rescues, the blonde was rescued (I use the term loosely because she wasn’t mistreated, just having to be re-homed) from a friend of the family, she was crate trained and her owner was a K9 trainer in the Air Force before he went to civilian LE.
The black pup was a free dog on Craigslist, he had been mistreated a little bit and wasn’t trained at all, his owners hadn’t been able to afford food for him several times in his past it seems, he was pretty easy to train though, the only time I’ve seen him get aggressive is over food and it only happened a few times over a few months when we first got him.

Both have very bad separation anxiety and both sleep on the bed with me, around 10:00 they know it’s time for bed and will go lie down and wait for me to go to bed.

The other month I woke up and this is how they were sleeping.

Hearing loss from a 240B (basically an m60) at less then 1’ from my right ear in a firefight when my gunner repositioned. Shit rang for 3 days... unless you have the headset on or at a range, ear pro is rarely worn in training or combat. Not the smartest but pretty damn common. We probably even have similar hearing aids lol. That said, doubt I would take the time to put pro on with a house invasion. I want to be able to hear where they are or rummaging through.

@shane100700 I wish I had my old M60 rattletrap. It sure would make clearing the house a whole lot easier . Glad you lived through that shit :fistbump:

Haha ear pro use in the military. We didn’t train with it in(except boot camp) or do combat operations with it in. You train like you fight. My earring is fucked but I can’t hear women and children’s voices very well an I do not see that as a negative lol. Shoot houses weren’t to bad. But to be honest if there’s one place I would never want to fire a weapon, it’s in a vehicle. Damn that would be loud and suck.

screw that... I thought I would be smart once. My other Tacoma had a topper, tried shooting out the back with the tailgate down. Nope, never again.

I cheated and used my truck so I could only shoot through open windows and not the windshield, at the PD range they have a scrap vehicle that you can shoot out of/around and it’s great practice.
Sitting in the drivers seat shooting out of the drivers window with my M&P 40 is not fun, it’s not the noise but the concussive wave that bounces off of the windshield and back into you, I have only used my AR in the truck a few times, that is stupid loud and concussive (12.5” 556 with a muzzle brake).

Reflective pressure is always a bitch. We used the dynamics of it for breaching doors, walls, and windows, but bullets are still a form of small explosions. I imagine in a small car with the window right there sucks.

Using the dynamics for breaching sounds pretty cool.

I can only imagine what either of these felt like.

I highly disliked muzzle breaks on battle ready ARs.

If I put it on a Venn diagram, I don’t think I’d have to many pros in favor to AR breaks, especially inside a vehicle with a standard carbine.

I typically run a can on the brake but sometimes I don’t for handier length.
I went with a brake VS comp or flash hider because I want it to be a sacrificial blast baffle since the barrel is only 12.5”.

Same here. But I work around leaving it on. I got the surefire mount for free but I’ve been meaning to just go get a warcomp.
