in that cold i like to have my buddy heater on low and window half open inside my 0* bag. kept me toasty.

Im going to order some kydex for my rack this week. Anyone know the circumference of 1.75" tube? Im not sure if 4x 8x12" sheets is too much. I was going to cut them in half

Unfortunately I do not but I literally just placed a 1x3 on top of each crossbar of the rack. Same width as the crossbar. That raised the tent about an inch. You can see in the photo below. The space between the rear crossbar and the tent.

You could take the rain fly off unless you actually think you will get rain. It traps all the condensation underneath it.

So, easy solution to the issue w/ the front roof rack. I took an angle grinder and cut the back of my front runner rack off. Now it fits fine.

Is that the IKamper Mini? Any problems folding it back up? Took mine out a few weeks ago to Death Valley and Mojave Road. Been a real PITA to fold back up. Nothing like the youtube videos. Hopefully I just need more practice, but so far it’s been a major let down, considering it’s a $3000.00 tent.564C9D67-7CD7-45B2-A338-FD2455C8AB71.jpg9CF9F897-6FC0-4699-9C1E-122916DF2968.jpg

No, it’s the skycamp (4 person) hard shell. It is a one minute setup and 2 minute breakdown, super easy. I bought way before the mini so I’ve never really seen the set up of mini to give you a suggestion, sorry.

Just ordered the freespirit readylight, should be the last thing I need for my setup besides getting the removable tri-layer walls in the winter!

They’re doing 0% financing through Affirm with no fee, so I just spread it out over 6 months since having cash on hand doesn’t hurt right now

Finally got the tent out and was able to use it. Best decision I've made yet. It took me a little to set it up, but because I paid attention, stowing it away was actually quicker. Hoping to get it down to a few minutes.
