I have the Eibach 2.5" lift coils but my lift in the front is down to about 1.5" now with all the extra weight and I have been considering doing the same thing. Honestly, it would only be for looks as everything works really well the way it is. The 4" of lift in the rear gives it quite a bit of rake though

Its literally a free mod of you have a spring compressor. Seeing as your only adding spring preload I didnt feel the need for an alignment afterwards as well. Putting it at .85 brought front end up exactly 1 inch and that was after I drove it awhile to settle front end.

    Sadly, not much.
I will get under there tomorrow. In the meantime, here is a crappy video, very faint, but you can hear the rattle as I accelerate: https://youtu.be/I2y-GaQgf9Q

How did you get the condensation out/fix the leak? Also where did you get that front tow point set up?

skip the compressor. Loosen the LCA bolts and use it as the compressor. Wayyyy safer than those janky compressors. Unless your neighbor has a hydraulic press then use that

X2.. did this method for my lift install. Very easy and felt much safer than when I've used those spring compressors in the past that you rent at autozone or oreillys. Do a search, there are some good videos on it.

I didn’t realize there were many 303 products. 10 years ago when I bought my gallon there was only one and it was only sold in specific stores. I use 303 protectant.

Be super careful! Those things make the springs like a bomb ready to explode at anytime. I used the internal spring compressor on my son’s Ranger. That was the most nervous I’ve ever been working on a vehicle. Gonna be putting 5100s on my Taco soon. Gonna take the spring assembly out and have a local shop switch out the shocks. The amount he quoted me is a lot cheaper than a visit to the ER and possible surgeries if something goes wrong with the compressor. I know a lot of people do them theirselves, it’s just not for me.

Yeah once I figured out the LCA method, chucked my compressors. Was always terrified using those damn things

Don't fear spring compressors. I'm sure people have been hurt doing stupid things. But, a tool is a tool. And a spring compressor is a simple tool. Buy a good one and you can save some money and have fun playing with your suspension.

Just wanted to share. But I am not telling people to do this.
Just bought a 2015 TRD Off Road and after spending so much money on it, wife said no more spending (meaning no expensive lift kit for now) spacers have to do

I took out the front shock/strut/coilover and just laid it on the side. Used my impact gun with a 17mm head to undo the top hat while stepping on the coil/spring itself. It barely popped once the 17mm was off. I was expecting a lot more.

The spacer kit that i got was the one that goes between the spring and the top hat. For that i used the lower control arm method. works great.
