Apparently my 882 coils weren't even developed with the Tacoma in mind. They're J90 coils or something. Made old man emu stop talking to me when I contacted them about the leaf spring sag.

I could buy ome whatever coils for however much and get the same lift or i could buy some cruiser springs and shocks for 60 bux than sell my current springs to a buddy for 20 bux

The end goal for rear shocks is to weld a new upper shock mount like the previous owner did to another buddies 4 runner so i could run an eye-eye shock vs a eye-stem shock

Than measure and figure out what shock to get from the bilstein pdf on universal fit shocks

Why spend money on good shocks when i plan on changing the mounts

And get some limit straps because i already broke a shock... would suck to do again

Edit: Appears the J90 shared a front suspension with the 4Runner/Tacoma. ARB/OME just wanted an excuse not to help me out is the reality of it.

My 882s are still pretty stiff. Need to either throw my Warn M6000 in the ARB or buy an M8000.

You've got 500lb springs and still too stiff with an ARB bumper? o_O

    (Thought 882s were 550lb)?

Yeah it kinda baffles me. I also run an E rated tire so that's half the problem. But even before the KO2s it was really bad compared to the stock coils and shocks. My flatbed rides like a cadillac in comparison but it's got leaking C rated tires. There are literally 4 terrible options for D rated tires in 265/75R16 and everything else is E or C rated. I've had bad luck with C rated tires off-road as well as running over small animals and getting punctures. But maybe I should just go down to C with the next set.

All I plan is a hidden winch/ mount, think I need different coils? I’d prefer to stay around 2” of lift

I run E tires as well with more air than others would and I don't think the ride is harsh.

It's just that, I've got 600lb springs and yes without my ARB the front was stiff. But I only noticed it while off roading. @eon_blue remember when the front end of my truck wouldn't even travel much, even without a sway bar?

That was the effect of 600lb springs with a stock front end and no diff (2wd).

Now I run an ARB and the front is much more susceptible to flexing...and that's still without a diff or winch.

So to hear your front end is stiff is odd as hell.

    Too much preload?

I have no idea how much lift I have. I can measure from hub center to strut mount or something to give you an idea
