Lowest mileage 2nd gens

Day 1, back in March, 2013.
Today I'm just past 80k.

 

43049 on my 2011.

 

picked up a 2015 TRD Off Road with 46k miles. Wife says i have to keep it for 15 years.

Just rolled 50k on my 06 2wd regular cab base model a few weeks ago. Would’ve had even fewer but the wife took a shine to driving it everywhere last year. Thinking about putting new shocks and a 2-3” drop kit on it soon. Original owner.

 

Why no drive?

good question. This little driving does more harm then good. Seals are probably shot.

Quick look at autotrader.com and you can find plenty with less than 10k a few less than 5k a handful even less.

 

Modern seals are nothing like the old leather seals that would dry out and leak.

Frankly, when it comes to new vehicles, the actual metal shaft groves and causes leaks as often or more often then the actual sealing surface wear.

I have a 93 Miata with 36K on the odo, dry as a bone under it and on the engine. If newer seals dried out and leaked, it would be the Exxon Valdez by now.

And yes, I'm old enough to have owned Toyota's with leather seals. My oldest was a 69.

 

I have a 2015 TRD OR with 36,000. Bought it with 33,000 in February

Rare??? Would you pay $21k for 2005 DC TRD Sport 85k miles.

 

Bought my 2015 in August of 2015, 34000 now

 

Idk. My 2014 had 19xxx miles when I traded it in on my wife’s Outback in 2017. Short commute, and traveling a lot for work in rentals. The truck spent more time in the airport parking lot than it did anywhere else when I owned it.

The last two years I’ve put 48k on my 2.7l (ecoboost) and my job title just changed so I’m going to be driving like 5-7000 a year now.

 

I'm still rocking my 06....
