It seems as though he's trying to do the opposite of his hurricane evacuation fail from last year.

There comes a point where the solution is worse than the problem. I couldn’t imagine what the country would be if the economy were shut down through fall. Covid-19 might be around through fall but I don’t see how we can continue these measures without a second depression occurring. Maybe a focused quarantine for certain areas or risk groups, I don’t know. Can’t keep printing cash.

I think this first shutdown was mainly to slow the initial onslaught of people getting it. After this first hit, it should be less rampant and the total number of people that CAN still get it (people who haven't gotten it yet) will be more manageable since literally every person that comes in contact with them doesn't also get it because they have already had it. If any of that makes sense. Idk, I'm thinking of it as a nuclear bomb vs stringing those dead\injured over the course of a year. Still a huge toll, but not as overwhelming.

    nailed it.

the solution is almost worse than the problem at this time. give it another week or two and there will be a lot of pressure to get business back open so people can get back to work and get back to some form of normality.

I wish they would resurface the roads around the state during this "shutdown."

The shutdown or "stay at home order" doesn't change much. You're still allowed to go get food(groceries or take out), go to hardware stores, greenways/parks/lakes that are open, etc. Mostly it just makes it so there is some applicable legal/law enforcement action that can be taken.

I think your body still builds up some immunities to it so that it's not "hospitalization" bad the second time around. If you're never more immune to it and you can get it over and over, with no benefits from the last time, then this shut down is pointless. Idk, that just how I see it. I'm not an epidemiologist so I could be waaaaaaay off haha

I also need to go to go to Lowe's but that place has to be a ground zero by now.
