Hi all this week went to roll down passenger window from driver switch, it didn’t work. Here’s what I have tried.
Passenger window door switch does work fine
Drivers safety window lock is not engaged
Checked all 20A fuses all good
Swapped out complete switch unit from a buddies (same year) no luck
Scratching my head here.. truck has 25k on it, does anyone know if this would this be a warranty covered item? I believe last visit to Toyota dealership I was advised that warranty was done and tried to sell extended..
    Look fwd to all input..

Is the passenger window auto up or down ? If it is and it's not working just the auto part then you have to program that switch. I believe you roll it down all the way. Hold the switch to the top position till window closes and hold it to the count of five seconds. Or roll up up all the way and hold the switch for five seconds. Sorry can't remember exactly. Once that's ok the master switch should work.

Almost all new vehicles have this procedure. The techs at my work would order a master switch alot and always asked why. And finally I showed them it's just a program. Unless it was bad.

Hi boghog1 I’ve owned 20+ Toyota’s had some Tacoma’s w/ over 200k mi, never did I experience a broken wire with any of them, broken wire likely not case here with such low miles wouldn’t you agree..

Toyo techs once were techs today they R, are parts swappers no diff than what computer techs (me included) once were.
No disrespect sir just pointing out the obvious and yes I could be wrong in the end and happily will admit it.
