I am upgrading the stereo in my 2020 tacoma trd sport. I am adding an external lc7i and jlaudio amp to new speakers. I bought the metra wiring harness that worked with previous models but discovered the connectors changed for the 2020 head unit . Anyone have any idea what the wiring codes are as I will have to cut and splice into the factory harness

If it’s door speaker stuff the rear are the same and the fronts are different. Do a search. It was just discussed in a thread recently.

If it has to do with the actual head unit then not sure how you can figure that out easily.

I wouldn’t cut into the factory harness. I’d wait and see if I could find one for a 2020

Rung out the wires as I may be the first one on here to make this mod.
Will post the chart for others when I get a minute

Thanks I have the non JBL head unit also, good to know if I ever decide to add an amp or sub. I also replaced my 4 door speakers with Kickers and swapped out the 2 tweeters with Subaru Kickers. I am quite happy with the improved bass and extra volume. Have you tried it at that stage before adding the jlaudio amp?

I didnt try without the amp. Can't imagine it would be great considering what Toyota had in mind for speakers when they put the system together.
Can't imagine the head unit puts out much power

Yeah that crap gota go. I am curious what the upgraded JBL system uses!

I did notice that a volume level of 25 with android auto is my normal listening level. Previous it was much higher with poor audio. Now I can feel the bass in the floor and seat. You just don't know what your missing when you drive off the lot. Funny my tire shop guy wanted to get a look in my vehicle and the first thing he noticed was the door speakers!
