What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Looks good.....That’s my next mod once I’m back to work after the virus crap. Was thinking of going with the white. Any issues installing and did u have to align the lights? Thanks

 

No problem Cap. Weather here cleared up. I was going to pick a mod and go for it but decided that I should get the greenhouse ready instead. Life has it's priorities.

I'm griping about the weather being cool and rainy now but in a couple of months I'll be bitching about how there's no shade and that it's hot as hell.

Wife says I'm like an old lion and that I need to roar very once in a while just to remind myself that I still know how.

 

Installed Toyota factory bed lights today. Because of my Diamondback, I wanted more light up front. I had some Cyclones laying around and decided to mount them in the rail. I may just surface mount these on the bed side later. I’ll also fill the hole with some black caulk or epoxy.

 

The bed bars are KBVoodoo, the basket is a cheapy from Amazon branded “max haul”

 

Installed the SokieTech no drill hood struts. It’s nice to finally have them. Quality seems good and it opens up the hood more than the prop rod.

 

Instead of caulk or epoxy you could get some plastic or rubber hole plugs. I'll check and see who the seller was that I bought mine from on ebay if your interested then I'll edit this post. Gives things a nice finished look. Lots of sizes available.

No issues with the install, mine are for a 2012-2015 and fit fine.. I have two more sets I may put up for sale since they are on backorder.

The 3rd Gen is held by one screw, with the DD you just have to put the bracket on the correct way (side oriented, it says it on it).

I fit my hand/arm down through the hood area, no need to take the fog light cover off or move the fender liner.

 

My Factor 55 Ultra Hook came today
I noticed a large portion of the rigs at the Mint 400 races last month were running these so I thought I'd check them out. Best on the market as far as I can tell and they manufacture a whole line of winch and rigging equipment. The Ultra Hook is rated past 48,000 lbs. Anyway here's a few shots pre install

Gave up on my home made jerry can mounts and just got some smittybuilt ones... $35 each shipped to my door.

Quality is pretty good, its adjustable for big or small cans, I can bolt them together then I need to make a mount for the bed rail (or just order one from someone who is still open). I need to play around with locations so I dont cover up my storage bins in the bed.

 

No more wind drag. Drives like its staying on the ground now (crazy weirdo here lol)

Does anyone have any pictures of carbon fiber wrap job on the inside trim pieces?

 

Understand the priorities. Been off for a week and the only thing I did to my truck was a DIY popnlock. Been working on cleaning the garage, did some yard work, did some repairs on our pergola and cutting/staining some wood for some repairs on the fence. It's always something.

 

I would love to be able to do, well, any of that instead of shoveling snow yesterday.
