Mine was in NYC the day after it shipped from Hong Kong. The rest of the shipping time was between NYC and Louisiana. And since I ordered on a Friday, I had two weekends between ordering and delivery (on a Monday). Since you ordered today you might get yours next week.

Thanks for asking. Just did it yesterday. It went very well, but I screwed up my camera orientation. I drilled straight into my grill, so my camera is facing too straight down. It still works, but only for very close parking. I will relocate it tomorrow. Your video, and other people’s installs really helped. I love the ease of installation, and the functionality.

Someone stated his camera would auto come on at low speeds. I haven’t seen that, but it is super easy to use, and I much prefer it than having to lean forward and push a button.

Thanks again, this fixed a huge annoyance, of this truck. Should be standard, can’t wait to off-road with it.

Gotta love the functionality of this. Its truly an awesome mod!
My front view with the camera right at the top of the TSS, maybe 1/8" off center on the grill...

Nice mod, thank you OP. Is it best to order from Amazon or Car Solutions because its cheaper? Anyone use the camera from car Solutions? Why not use a camera like in post 127, the round one and mount it there or anyone mount the camera below the front plate. looking for ideas. I'm ordering this from Car Solutions and maybe try their camera. Anyone having any issues?

Amazon or Car Solutions, or there's also another seller... Taco Garage. Choose whichever camera works best for your grille and mounting location. Centering the camera on the grille is almost always better than than offsetting it to the right or left. And higher up on the grille provides better (more) side-to-side view than does a lower mounting location. My suggestion is to get the Germes interface hooked up with your HU not yet secured back into the dash. Then run the camera wire out the passenger window and play around with various camera-mounting locations (as best you can without drilling) to determine which provides the front image that you would like. Then when you are satisfied... you can start drilling.

The front camera I used claims a 170 degree field of view. Before mounting, I made this drawing to approximate the side-to-side image span I would get in two potential mounting locations. It turned out that I couldn't mount the camera in the higher position (green line) so I had no choice but to use the lower position (red line). For some cameras the specified field of view is measured across the diagonal of it's image, instead of the actual side-to-side. I don't know how the advertised 170 degrees of my camera was measured. The actual l image I get on my HU is not quite as wide as what the red line in this picture would indicate.

Edit: After I posted this last night, I remembered that I made this drawing for a camera having 135 degree field of view (non-fisheye camera) that I was considering. However as I described above, the 170 degree camera I ended up using provides a slightly less side-to-side image than what the red (135 degree) lines would indicate. YMMV.
