I’m not either man but this is the simplest of simple that even someone that doesn’t understand what the heck is going on can do. All you gotta know is you want power to the grille lights when there’s power to the parking lights. So find the hot wire to the parking lights and connect to that sucker lol

By chance do you know which color is the hot wire :D on my way to O'Reilly right now to pick up a ring terminal for ground and a quick splice.

If I’m not mistaken, hot was white and ground was black. Sorry for the late reply, had to get my Sunday nap in. Good luck!

It's all good! I got it all we worked out. Mine has a green wire and a white with black stripe wire. Green for go so I tapped into that one. Thanks for your response and help with the setup. I appreciate it.

On a gloomy day they're bright enough to tell the difference between on/off. Pics definitely don't show brightness well. We'll see when summer hits.

Looking good! Seems about like my headlights and everything I wired to the parking lights with them, all of that stuff looks the best right around dusk/dawn

What’s the difference between these posted on eBay vs the one for $185 on Tacomabeast?

I have not bought or seen one from Tacomabeast, but my guess is nothing other than it costs $70 more. Lol

You just wired them up so they come on with the parking lights or independently?

With the parking lights. Hard to tell the parking lights are on in the pic but it's noticeably on in person.

Thanks...I couldn't see the parking lights on. I just ordered my grille and lights, so I'm trying to figure out how to run a switch. I have grille lights on my 4Runner...maybe I'll just follow how that was done.

Yeah, which ever way you like/prefer. Not sure how you have your 4Runner setup but let me know if you have any questions.

Well mine arrived today. $110 on eBay. Looks nicer than I thought. Fit is ok. I think I need to figure out the brackets better. Looks so nice though on the truck. The weatherstripping everyone has been using is ordered but wanted to see the fit first. Sits a little too high currently. 6EF433FD-3037-41A4-8FC5-79F48D0A94D9.jpg87C263EE-B76D-4873-9B59-4C6537CD6982.jpg

Yours doesn't look fully seated or the fasteners are giving it too much play. I'd check the two retaining clips on the bottom to make sure they're fully seated (it also appears to be angled forward which is why I am saying that) - and if they are, swap out the two plastic fasteners for two nylock nuts and bolts - that should keep it angled back correctly.

I just want to make sure I didn't confuse you. The bottom retainer clips on the OEM grille slot into two retainer brackets. The replacement TRD Faux grilles we're all getting don't have the clips, only little bits of plastic that sit in those brackets. The plastic fasteners I am referring to are the ones at the top of the grille that slot into the plastic tabs up top, they're shaped like little plastic push pin bolts. Those stay loose so as to give the grille a little bit of flex room in the event that something smashes into it, so it can "give", but there's really no practical purpose for that. If something big enough to make it "give" hits it, it's going to rebound/shatter anyways, so might as well use those fastener holes to actually lock it in place at the correct angle if the bottom part is seated correctly. If none of that makes sense, take a look at it and it will, otherwise I can go get pictures at some point.
