DIY shop filter works! Just need to hang it. The v-shape gives me double to surface area and better filtering overall.

that 6 drawer box is $350 brand new. I think it’s pretty good quality. I have the husky 54” big tool box and I love it. Had it for 4 years now and just as good of condition as when I got it.

Okay I guess I’ll go ahead and pick it up. Would love to add the matching top box to go with it but apparently it no longer comes in black. :annoyed:

It would work great in your garage to capture a lot of the metal dust from cutting/grinding. My space is a lot bigger so I’m planning on hanging it directly above where I do most of my work. It already reduced the amount of ambient dust in the garage and I ran it for about an hour after I was done working. I’m hoping to see a lot less dust on my bike and tools in the morning.

Made a "rack" for my Jack stands and jack. Hated moving these things around while cleaning but I use them enough to need them close by. Should work nicely in this spot.

I cut down a 2"x10" I had, mounted it the the wall, and attached some rubber coated "tool hooks" that I had laying around to hang the stands from.

For hooks something like this :

Nicely done! The only thing I would do differently is use a hook with a little more curve to it. The link you posted above has a yellow hook in the What else did customers buy section right below the linked hook. I have used angled nails to hold jackstands to the wall before and they can somewhat easily be bumped off accidentally. With a little more curve to the metal hook they will be stored much more safely.

Yes buy it. Definitely worth it.
On another item, is that a red funnel in the back ground or a urinal? Hard to tell from my point of view. HaHa.

Good idea. What are you using to hang your floor jack? Both of mine are around 100 lbs each.

Screwed 2x4 to wall and just used some bolts for hangers... I just built all this with stuff I had laying around as I'm doing my best not to leave the house at all, which makes for a perfect time to reorganize garage.... dont think my jack is quite 100lbs.

Hung my DIY air filter in the garage a couple days ago. Wanted to run it a bit before I was able to say anything about it. It works amazing! Greatly reduced the fine dust in the shop and I built a set of sliders over the past two days and even brought down most of not all of the grinding dust (as in: no black boogers). I should’ve done this a while ago. The box fan I used is less powerful than the round fan I saw in the original designs but I had it laying around and figured I’d try it before buying something stronger. I think this will do for the time being.

Took my chrome rear bumper off to repaint it and realized I didn't have a proper sander to actually make the paint stick this time. Never used a DA style sander hoping it works better that my palm sander. Also I fell into temptation and bought a Portable band saw too. I want to build a table to make it a vertical saw like I see all the cool kids have these days.
