    those are gorgeous.... does it make a difference for model..??? in perspective of the mags...???? i thought there good with the kimber mags not after market... cuz my eclipse target 2 does not like the after market mags..???

    Mine sits at 4.5lbs. Which is pretty standard with most of the 1911 models out there.

    Sandman...I think its just a case of 1 specific gun hating 1 specific magazine. The Warrior functions with every mag I own, including the one that the Pro hates. The Pro works with every mag I own except the mag it came with....and that includes everything from high-dollar Wilson mags to several el-cheapo G.I. mags.

    Yeah my kimber warrior will shoot with any mag. Correct me if I am wrong, but when I bought my kimber warrior I think kimber had a contract with a third party company to make the mags to they were not technically kimber mags. The one that with my gun sucked. I bought a bunch of Wilson combat mags and chip McCormick.

    Assuming the feed ramps are identical, mag catch/ frame specs etc, the only difference between the two would be the slide length/ recoil system. The Pro's slide might not be moving rearward as much as the Warrior.

    Not using any buffers are you?

    Pro's recoil spring might be binding right at the end of the slide's movement.

    I have the Tactical in 5", and have owned many other Kimbers. Near as I can tell, Kimber mags are an iffy proposition, so I always used a good stock of Wilson 8 rounders, and McCormick 10 rounders.

    Ay so I am thinking of selling my kimber I was thinking 850$?? There is nothing wrong with it just want to go to a different model kimber??? Is this a good price for it??

    im looking into the tactical entry 2... i would like to keep both... but i would rather have the one i really like... also its not practical for me right now to have 2 of the same gun...

    Couple of my work buddies have the Tactical Entry 2 and they love it. Haven't had any problems with their's. The only thing that they chenged on theirs is that they put in a 14lb spring from the standard spring to assist with the recoil and the ejection.

    What was the benefit of going from a standard 18lb to a 14lb recoil spring? It seems to me that the slide will beat the crap out of the frame.

    I try to keep one for target and match shooting (5" barrel) and one for CCW.
    The Commander size, with a 4" or thereabouts barrel length is a good compromise but not ideal for either.
    It all depends on what you're going to use the gun for.
