I just knew you changed out those bolts when you welded those front plates on. Didn't know how you removed the oem studs first

Cut the heads off with a cut off wheel and they’ll pop out. Don’t use stainless bolts either, well I mean I wouldn’t recommend it, use grade 8 bolts. Better to drill the holes out to 1/2” and use 1/2” grade 8 bolts. Stainless can be brittle, it’s very stiff and won’t really bend but will snap

I answered his post. It was easy I just whacked the heads off with a die grinder with a cutoff wheel. You can take a hammer and just tap the studs side to side and they’ll fall out after that

Idk how to tell you length as that will depend on what all you have going on there. I also used nyloc nuts. Read my response to Bill about cutting them off also please

Read it. I'm good on the length. I already have the 7/16 bolts so I know the length of those is perfect. Thanks again.

Soooo, does anyone have a 3rd gen passenger side rear tail light laying around? o_O Drove down to Va Tech yesterday to pack up my son and bring him home and left my truck in neutral in the parking lot, and subsequently rolled into an 05 Honda Accord. Damage to the truck was minimal (cracked tail light and scuffed paint on the bumper) but I may have totaled her car as I left a big dent in the bumper, smaller dent on the trunk, and a cracked tail light. Also rubbed the front bumper against a light pole (paint scuffing at worst ).

Fairfax county stopped collecting yard waste. I have a full bed of brush and the dump won’t take it either. Any ideas where I can off load this? This is crazy

Why?! I dont see how that would be more dangerous than picking up regular trash.
FWIW, the website notice on 3/27 indicates the transfer stations are collecting yard debris, unless they've subsequently changed that

Possible.. Down here in Henrico co. (Richmond area). Web wise.. One thing says open to yard waste. Another says closed to yard waste due to the new Order out, and household garbage only. That said, it gets tricky because we have two locations across the county. One states no, the other doesn't say.

Now you have the catch 22 scenario... do you waste your time driving down to the one that doesn't say, and waiting in line. only to find out they may/may not take it.

Oh yeah. That sucks about your truck.

Fauquier Co collection sites take yard debris, at least the one in Warrenton does. Check the website though, I’m not sure what days are good for certain things.

Studs out. Thanks guys. None of the good-thinking ideas would have worked. I didn't realize they were tacked in. Oh well.

Nah. Cut down the threaded portion then cut off the backside. Two came out super easy. Two needed a little persuasion with a hammer. Just have to bend the horn back to kinda straight.

It makes no sense. I checked the website before I went and even while waiting in line they had no signs about not taking yard debris. The lady said they won’t be taking it for the foreseeable future. So not only did they stop the curbside pickup in residential areas, but you can’t even take it to the dump yourself. Couple that with everyone being home and doing spring cleaning... this is going to be a mess
