One more question: part numbers for the rings? I wouldn't mind installing them on the forward 4 bed bolts. Thinking about a bed "stiffener" for the back, so that will have tiedowns.

Does that part number come in black as seen on the left in the pic below?

First post on this thread.. however I have been lurking for some time.

Started a deep clean/detail on the Tacoma yesterday. Carpets and seats are clean, with a de-greasing and wipedown of all surfaces on the agenda for today.

Might even get my CaliRaised fogs thrown in if the wife can keep the 2 y/o occupied long enough.

I'm afraid to ask what happened to stain those rear seats ...

I installed the Pop n Lock tailgate handle, I think I installed it this past December or January. I like it, just remember to flip the driver’s side linkage, which is in the pop n lock install video.

I was waiting for that.. The classic case of baby/toddler dropping juice and milk bottles on the seat. We would never see it until the whole bottle had leaked out and the seat was already stained.

Just wait till gummies get dropped and end up under the car seat somehow and it grinds into the seat and in the heat of the summer :frusty::frusty::frusty:

Time for some seat covers for sure.

This kid of mine LOVES her gummies.. not sure I've ever seen one go to waste so I'm hopeful that's something I wont have to deal with. Yes agreed, seat covers are high on the list. Right behind Method's and a tint

I bought my truck about 3 years ago, had to replace the pop n lock that came on it about 8 months after purchasing the truck. Replacing the latch is super simple. However the latch on the inside is a plastic end piece against a metal switch. Its prone to breaking and not reinforced anywhere. That's the biggest issue with these. My old one snapped right there where the plastic met metal. The tailgate was up, 95 deg day, pulled the handle and snap it broke off. The only way to get the tailgate down was to remove the plastic on the inside of the tailgate. Luckily its just plastic and you can get to the screws with the tailgate up.

I replaced it with another pop n lock and so far so good but I am counting the days till this one gives up too.

    not today, but...
at the same time everything went south, I went with the woman's family to Florida. I dropped off the truck for some work at the a good local place (Torqd, in Joplin).
oil change, general tune up, a MBRP cat back system, and debadging. no more trd sticker, pinstripe, or tacoma badges. of course it's red so it will take a year or so for the newly uncovered paint to fade to match, but right now it still looks decent, I like the ghosted look that only shows up in the right light at the right angle.
