The end of the spindle was so fucked up that it wouldn't let the shaft slide out -- the 19 spline outer is a couple mm smaller than the inner shaft. The spindle was ovaled a bit and keeping the larger dia porting of the shaft from coming through

Anyways, time to keep cutting. I cut the threaded end off and the shaft slid right out

    Stuff. Also things.
Damn, dude. The suck is real with that.

I thought that the FF was supposed to make this sort of thing easier, but it sure doesn’t look that way. Sorry you’re having to fight it.

Yeah, it's been a thorn in my side. When I popped the shaft on the trail I was like "OK, should be pretty straightforward to change."

4 cap head screws, 2 snap rings, and it slides out. Except it didn't because of all the carnage

I forgot that the Wagoneer wheel studs are 7/16-20 thread pitch and need to be replaced. I ordered some M12 ones with similar dimensions from O'Reilly

For anyone following along Dorman 610-264 studs are dimensionally similar and fit into the Wagoneer hub

I thought about being lazy and just grabbing new lug nuts for that wheel but I might as well do it right

Also started draining the steering system to pull the pump.

    The PS fluid is BURNT

I'm wondering if the return side inline filter and cooler were too much for this pump or what. NAPA said they will warranty it if they can find the SN in the system even though I lost the receipt

My maintenance/repair to wheeling ratio is not so great

Been wondering what my next choice will be if I keep breaking this setup

Drive slugs. Hubs probably would have broke before the shaft

RCV is suggesting that I go to a 30 spline outer with 30 spline drive flanges.

That would make the ring and pinion the next weakest link which shouldn't be an issue on 37" or smaller tires

Well the good part with the full floater is if you blow up your R&P you can just pull the shafts, the DS and drive it home.
