I got it off guys. Just needed a little more leverage. Now the question in my head is do I repaint, sell. Them and order a new set linexd, or get quotes to have them line-x. Anybody have a hookup? Or interested in them?

    Option C.

Paint them and put them back on! If you ever use them the way you are supposed to they will need to be recoated anyway. No reason to spend anymore $$$ on something you already have.

And Jason to answer your other question about skids, I will say this. Any protection is better than no protection but know this. I have a 1/4 inch front skid on my truck and it has a bend in it and although I do use them I don't go barreling down the trails by any means!

My recommendation for armor is sliders, steel skids and if you want to save weight then get aluminum bumpers.

Rob speaks the true true. Repaint with spray on bed liner. Beat them up. Touch up. Repeat.

Jason @jpereira2 , I concur. I used that Rustoleum spray on bed liner on my tube steps and out front. It’s held up really well. My favorite part is that it’s not “rubbery”. It’s a hard textured surface. It touches up awesome. Can’t even tell.

Didn't know you had rock sliders. Mine held up for about three years and I understand it'll wear where I step all the time but everywhere else not so much. Though I do believe I used duplicolor where as now I have Rust-Oleum in my basement inventory.

I don’t have sliders lol. I said tube steps. People open their car doors into them all time. So far no chips.

although the 1st gen might get sliders. I’m still on the fence about that.
