1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Oh Im looking at places to own. I'll rent an apartment or someones basement for a year or two so I can save for a down payment. But a 3 bed, 2 bath home on 1/2 acre within Roanoke city limits is gonna be anywhere between $150-200k. On the higher side if its been remodeled.

 

That's my point. Though I personally dislike more humans than I do animals. Still I'd take each one on a case by case basis, I couldn't make a blanket statement one way or the other on which I'd sacrifice.

I'm no photographer, I'm sure @eon_blue would've told me what settings to use for this one since there was so much red -

 

A lot of that will be adjusting your white balance accurately to reflect the rooms lighting and for the colors. I did it just a bit in post (more effective if shot in RAW) just to give you an example of what changes

 

Yeah for a lot of them I didn't care to adjust it; so many people, so many lights and reflecting colors lol

But thanks for the comparison.

One thing I've never tried, so I'd be horrible at it, would be editing my photos because I do have a ton in .RAW format

 

I bet you could do better than that cameras auto WB feature for sure haha, kinda a low bar though. Anyhow, most cameras will have a WB priority mode so that all you need to do is slide the finger wheel to adjust it between shots, that's a great way to learn to set it accurately. Plus as long as you're always shooting a RAW version too, you have a lot more freedom (much more than I just had with that compressed JPG) to fix any you didn't hit dead on.

please do, I love tweaking photos, kinda extra fun when I wasn't there to witness the orignal. It's like a guessing game of what looks most accurate

It's not always a bad thing

 

Red is one of the hardest colors for digital camera sensors and computer screens to handle, as long as your white balance is good for the lighting being used it'll come out as best it can. Daylight balanced lights would be best for a red car

 

Take a thin slice and pan fry; just a thin one though.

 

I'll just have you take pics next time I get VIP car show tickets.
