I took a trip to HeadStrong Off-Road...... Without a doubt, it was the best experience I've ever had with purchasing parts and installation. I personally drove over 100 miles passing multiple shops cause they were just that impressive.IMG_0402.jpgIMG_0391.jpg

I got disappointed with the taco and Toyota in general for the first time today.
Firstly I’m researching that the taco is not the best towing vehicle. That’s okay instead of buying a TT we’ll get a Class A and tow it. Nope, apparently both the Tacoma and Rav4 XSE are not good vehicles to tow behind a RV :(
Possibly looking at touring the states for a while but seems like it’s a little more complicated than I was hoping.

I have run into a similar problem. I looked into getting a Big Tex car hauler. Maybe something like this would work for you. My plan was to tow it behind a motorhome but found out you cannot flat tow. All 4 wheels must be off the ground.

Seems like a typical misconception around here and I don't know why. You can tow, just not a 30' Airstream. It's a little truck with a lot of good looks and big heart. But it's still a little truck.

Any advice in taking off and recovering the door panels? Will be doing this myself soon.

All LED lighting, K&N filter w/TRD air accelerator, black and tangerine Katzkin leather seats, JL audio Components, rubber floor liners, de-badged, (next mod: orange powered coated winter rims & JL stealthbox)
I paid a local fabric shop. Was $100 per
Door. Looking at the back, they had to unscrew the orange (was grey) area and then pull off the old stuff and apply the new. It looked pretty straight forward, but I didn’t trust myself with glue. I’d probably eat more of it, Vs use it right. Lol.

I've already tackled recovering the rear seat panels in the access cab, which were hot welded on and a bitch to remove. What did you use for fabric?

I was totally thinking a trailer would work but it might limit what campsites we could go to having a 27 rv and a Tacoma with a trailer. Thanks though.

Got bored in stay-at-home quarantine so I decided to add a bit of extra flare to the interior.

Believe me I want to take the truck, it’s 2 months old. We are wanting to basically tour most of the parks for several months or as long as needed. I want to do the safest option with the most flexibility. So either a 24/26 TT with slide out or a Class A with something towed behind. I believe the RV would be the safest option instead of maxing out the capabilities of the truck?

What do you mean? My pop-up has 2x beds the size of a queen. My spouse and I managed to camp about a week at a time in it but if you are going longer than that then perhaps you need more room. I do like the fact that a pop-up creates very little wind resistance so fuel mileage is not hurt too much.
