Time to clean the outhouse up?

 

Hey Bill I’ve been doing some studying up on electric fans and noticed you have one is it just a aux fan for the condenser or the flexalite replacement for the clutch fan? I can’t recall so much information to digest at one time and how’s it worked for ya?

 

I have the Flexalite kit on mine. Been there for 8-9 years or so.

 

Do you like it I read some of the thermostats have gone out? I’m really looking just to add a small 10in fan to the outside of the condenser for idling to keep ac cool.

 

Never had a problem with the thermo or electronics. The fan motor did go out about 3 years or so ago, had to replace that. It's a high cost mod for what you get though. It cuts that cold engine fan roar that is annoying and also you can get an upgraded controller that is two stage and fully adjustable. I also added some rubber fender washers between the fan and the mounting brackets to cut some of the fan startup vibration getting into the cab. As for perf or mpg, I never noticed anything significant, but once purchased and installed, its certainly not worth it to remove, for me anyway.
