I ordered some 4X Innovations weld-on sliders shipped for $412. Domestic DOM with kick out. They have a drop test video on YouTube and these things look legit. I get them today (about 3 weeks lead time). Worth a look especially at half the price of most others. I think sliders in general are way overpriced.

Thanks Matt. Lovin' it. I really like the ride and the new 33" skinnies are perfect. No need for mods and still plenty of get up and go. Now that the weather has broke and summer is here it's time to get the cap off and painted. Well, bedlined. I am hoping this virus BS will be over soon so I get out in the woods with some friends. In the meantime I am just getting caught up on some minor mods. I did the axle breather relocate this past weekend, and next will be the pop-n-lock. Then I have my lighting and dig switch to mount up. Then the cap. Then I am done until I can afford armor bumpers. Those sliders I ordered should be ready any day now. I'll go pick them up myself.

How are you faring these days?

That’s good stuff glad to hear that.
We’re doing well I’m on a half day schedule right now so things are kinda tight but no complaints. Big ticket items are on hold right now so just trying to stay busy with small stuff is about all.

Never quite understood the powder coat option (unless super cheap). They’re going to get trashed anyway.

Only the bottom and sides will get scraped up. The rest will remain intact. My last set of Mobtown sliders were P/C'd and the stuff they used was extremely non skid. Needing to just touch up the scrapes made it worthwhile for me. I went with the powder coat option again.

I actually recommend powdercoat if people can afford it. It's a pretty rugged coating, and touching up is very easy with some satin black spraypaint.

Where bolt on sliders sandwich to the frame is prone to rust. You get grit sandwiched between the sliders and frame and it can cause some bad rusting. Having the durable PC would help with that a bit.

This is 4 years of living in the NE so a bit extreme, but it helps demonstrate why people should be taking their sliders off once in a while and doing a rust check.

I used to have the same thought process that PC was stupid on armor until someone explained it to me. Shit even skid plates, because then the inside of it stays protected.
