Yeah, my wife straightened me out pretty quick, too.

Oddly enough, neither of us has read that book Rich Dad Poor Dad.

When it went to the paint shop it was pretty faded but yes. Hopefully one day it will be out of there and back on the road.

Thanks. I'm doing a lot better than I was. Used to live paycheck to a couple days before paycheck and made some bad decisions with cars and car loans.
Truck is now paid off and we'll be looking to use my VA Loan in the next couple of years.

Gotta use the overhead door to walk into the garage? Can't fit that head thru a normal sized door.

My stupid decision was in the form of a mazda, so like not quite as bad as a trans am. But...woopsies.

Fortunately I was taught/drilled into my head from an early age about credit card debt and living within means, etc.

Yep, before this Coronavirus crap I was looking into getting a weekend car for the summer. Dumb decisions come with the territory of being a young guy

I've been debt free for the last 3 years, maybe more. No truck payment, no mortgage, no cc balance, no boat payment, just property taxes which will never go away. I have no income either (except for some small stock dividends < $400 a year), just living off savings and cars, trucks, boats and parts I've sold the past few years. It seems like ever since 9/11 too many people live beyond their means. Maybe this situation will make people realize they don't need to spend every dime they make each month, but I doubt it.

I want that new mid-engine Corvette. I will wait until they've produced them for a few years to work out the kinks, and then wait a few more years to find a good lightly used one. Can't wait to make that horrible decision though!

Here was my dumb financial decision of years passed. $4k in bolt-ons to a $500 truck

I bought my 2014 WRX cash. $30K. 2019 I traded in for the Taco. Toyota gave me $20K. Was my regular daily driver. Not a bad "usage fee" for 5 years.

Sometimes my inner small boy gets lucky. Most times not.

Side note, I had a few bucks to burn on my Robinhood the other day. I saw something called MESO and said what the hell. It's up 39% today. Unfortunately I own less than 10 shares.

Edit: I said something and it dropped 4 percent.:(
