I empty it everytime i wheel, that amount that was in there was only about 800 miles worth but i also wheeled hard at windrock. Id say once every 3-5k should be fine or after every wheeling trip where you were on any extreme angles.

Its oil that got sucked into the pcv system when i was stuck on a very steep hill. The pcv systems on the 3rd gen are not in a good spot

Mine’s never smoked before and I climbed a fairly steep hill at Big John. Just doing it just in case I ever get my truck at a smoking angle.

So gonna send my front Diff off to ECGS to get regeared. Question is Locker or no locker? Gonna cost me an extra $850 ontop of the $650 for regear. Not wanting to spend that kind of change.

I would go no locker in the front. Not only Jeff, but a few of my friends back in high school days snapped CV axles with locked front diffs. Plus, I was always able to go wherever they went anyways so I didn’t see the need for a locker in the front. A locker in the rear will be just fine for the type of wheeling that we do.

Buy once cry once. Need or not, it just makes things easier if you respect it you won't break CVs to easy.

no broken CVs, i've busted open a boot before. I wouldn't blame that on locker though.

I love having mine. So far, yes, Scotty has been able to do everything I have with a front locker that he is so engaged to try (He won't try the hill at Choccolocco). However he is on 35's and had to add enough momentum to the equation to do it. This was from observations at Hawks Pride. Can't find any video of me or Jeff in the same locations yet. Edit: I haven't snapped a CV either.
