    Hi everyone,

I wanted to share some pictures and my initial review of these custom built rock sliders made and installed by Ryan aka Shmellfab aka @Shmellmopwho. I just had them installed today and haven’t tested their real life performance on the trail so I can’t comment on those areas but I’ll give you my initial impressions on how they look and feel.

I wanted the sliders to double as a step for easy access to the roof and to assist shorter passengers with getting into the truck so I decided to go with a 5° slider. He has multiple options available and I opted for all of the bells and whistles:
    - bolt on
    - kickouts
    - full fill plates
    - TRD logo in the kickouts
    - spray-on bedliner on everything

I absolutely could not be happier with the sliders and I’m so glad I went with Shmellfab. The quality is as good, if not better than most of the bigger and more well-known fabrication shops and he charges a significantly lower price.

The sliders look and feel extremely solid. The welds are clean. The bedliner spray he uses almost looks like paint with how smooth it looks, but it actually has some texture to it and provides a lot of grip (similar to grip tape on a skateboard). I also think the TRD logo in the fill plates is an extremely cool detail that you just can’t find anywhere else right now. On top of that he will install them for you and you save on shipping because he only does local pickup.

So for anyone in Southern California I highly recommend going with Shmellfab for your sliders.

Thanks again @Shmellmopwho! Can’t wait to test them out on the trails!

Wow man. Thanks so much for the detailed and very positive review! That means a lot. It was my pleasure to build this set for you and I’m so glad that you’re stoked on them! It was great to meet you and chat for a bit. You know where to find me if you need anything else and when this whole coronavirus BS is behind us we’ll get out wheeling together!

The bars are good. Extremely solid and in my opinion better looking than other tall racks available.

New door speakers and an all in 1 10in. Sub, bed cover, bed stiffeners, new grill, tailgate inlays, Mat black emblems overlays, new led map and dome lights, plenty more in the plans.
Do you offer any that are wheel to wheel for a 2018 DCLB?

In the front, the sliders physically can’t go forward any further otherwise they’ll make contact with the rear side of the front cab mount. The rear I could extend a little further back if you wanted it closer to the tire. It’s only about 6-7” away from TW front side of the back tire. The likelihood of you getting something jammed up in the area is not very likely

I totally agree about that but I was just seeing what you had available. I am in so cal too. I’m just trying to get some side steps that also give me a step at the back of the bed for tying down bikes.

I could totally make you a set that stretches back slightly further that will allow you to utilize the kickout as a step even more for reaching into the bed to secure your bikes

Sick where are you located brother and what would the price be? Just like the ones in the original post but the length we discussed? I’m in Santa Clarita myself.
