Don't think I haven't already thought about that! Problem is there's not of space where they'd be out of the way IYKWIM?? Would actually like to start a small indoor project but that will have to wait until the MIL goes to the light.

 

Onions are super easy to grow and you don't really have to spread them out at all, just make sure the water is indirect. Jalapenos and red habaneros have been the easiest peppers to grow in my experience.

Also sweet basil is easy as well. Just go through pinching the leaves off where it starts to have little buds in between already growing leaves and if you start seeing the beginnings of a flower cut it off because it's the plant going to seed and it'll just die at that point. That logic also applies to most herbs.

 

Break time!! Finished the yard , put weed and feed down , clean all the mildew on the front door and windows

Have grown Basil before but don't use it enough. A salsa garden would be a GREAT idea but no space currently. We have a perfect spot for one but it currently belongs to the MIL and her stupid little dog.

Is it bad that I already have many plans for how to utilize the downstairs portion of the house when she's gone?
