Not a chance. I'm using my numbers. My mortgage is something like 235k/1600/mo right now. I was just making up some numbers.

What, you didn't hear about the new 50 year mortgage? :D

It wouldn't be, it would be about double that. I said you could get $1,875 in dividends at 4.5% on the $500k.

I should have been more specific , I was thinking in the terms that one way or the other may come out ahead , whether it be by one penny or whatever . I do believe it makes a bigger difference according to ones age . I had no problem having a mortgage and 2 car payments when we were working and in our 30's , while still putting 7 to 15 percent later on in our 401K's. Rates were a lot higher back then as my first home mortgage was 12.5% in 1980 or so . I always had the opinion that I would take out a 30 year loan and pay at the 15 yr rate and even extra ( same principle for auto loans ) that way if times got tuff , the minimum payment was lower .

Even if one person is ahead "only by a penny", they're both fine and they did it how they wanted. The human element of "I have no loans due to anybody!" is not something you can put a value on, so even if you're down financially in the end, you're still not wrong the way I see things.

This is it. It’s the peace of mind that, to some, is worth it regardless of the financial aspect.

I do not understand what you are saying about not being able to put a value on no loans . do you think it is worthless to have no loans and a waste of potential capital to invest ? Or or having no loans has a lot of value that cannot be assessed ?

Thinking of taking profits one more time tomorrow around 10:15 EST. Figure it will drop back down in the near future.
Can anyone co-sign my bullshit or is this a bad idea?

Not sure what you mean. I just bought in, near the day low. If the market continues up, then I'm wrong and get tossed out at 8%. If this thing fizzles tomorrow and heads on down, then I will sell and check out. Been doing close to this for 3+ weeks now.

I'm playing SQQQ because during last week's dives I bought QYLD. Which my intention is to buy cheap and hold.

    Yes. ? maybe?

I'm saying even if you're "in the red" by the end compared to someone else's method, if you value the peace of mind to be loan-free for those 26 years (or whatever the timeframe may be) more than the other person, then so be it, nobody is wrong - everyone has a paid off house and some cash at the end. Just because I have more/less doesn't make me right/wrong, it makes it right for what I wanted in my approach.

Balls of steel ! I am tempted also though . I see the SPX at a resistance of 2640 and it looks to be strong so that would be a great point to buy SQQQ. A strong close today over 2640 and then and I could see 2 or more days of gains for the SPX to 2740 . Closing below 2640 and it is a crap shoot for the next few days . What are you watching to make your decision ? I will wait until after 2:45 central time .

I just threw $3K at TRTX. Risky but that’s a $13K payout once they get back to where they were

IF they get back there. I am invested in 4 mortgage REITs, just waiting to see if they return to my cost basis of $15-$20 (they're like $5 now). It may be a very expensive lesson for me, or a very profitable endeavor for you lol

I think we’ll be in good shape. I don’t want to lose $3K but I’ve always wanted a Barrett M82 .50 cal and I figured now’s the best time to make that kind of money, willing to take that chance lol

Trying to get the jump on the QQQ bullish signal of crossing the 50 day MA. That combined with the sentiment of the news cycle and NASDAQ running up on 7800 too quickly and dead cat bouncing down as it has at other levels. Sometimes I don't wait for all the resistance levels to be broken and then being late to the party. Hedging my QYLD which I am grossly overweight and scared shitless about :):annoyed:
