    Hey y'all, since we've got some more time indoors I figured I'd officially join TW. Looking forward to contributing and interacting with y'all! My Tacoma is a 2019 TRD OffRoad that was supposed to stay stock but you know how it goes. It's name is 'Ghost' and I'm building it to be my adventure anywhere and overland rig while also my daily up here in the PNW.

    Nice rig! You have my truck just a decade newer! Hey, I am looking to add some bed bars/rack and were actually looking at your exact set up! Any advice or thoughts about either your CBI rack or the Mt. Bachelor tent? Been doing a ton of research and was curious. Been looking at the best deal for bed bars, and going back and forth between the Mt. Bachelor size and the Mt Shasta. Thanks!

    Hey man, thanks! I'm a big fan of 2nd gens, looks like a great build yourself! Yea so I didn't want to splash all the cash for a full size bed rack and the bars seemed like the best bet! I think the CBI bars look great but you can't mount anything besides a hi-lift to the sides due to the size. C4 makes some that would allow you mount traction boards that cost about the same! but I do really like the CBI, very easy to take on and off. If you have the money I would say go MT Shasta! The MT Bachelor is great but it does look a little small on the long bed. Either way the smaller RTT's and the lighter bars actually saves a ton of weight so my mileage hasn't suffered too much

    Awesome! Thanks for the response. It seems like I've seen a few people mount stuff on the CBI bars, have you not found that to be possible? I saw a mount for some traction boards.. But it was pretty expensive - like $125 or so. But thanks for the heads up! I'd like to be able to mount some things to it at some point if I get some

    Yea I've seen that too, I think it's kinda steep to need a $125 bracket just to mount boards. The actual RTT mounts up great, the bars are flat and slotted on top so you just bolt the tent directly to the bars, its super solid. I actually just bought a prinsu rack that I'll be mounting my accessories on instead. check out the C4 bars too, since they're vertical and not slanted on the sides you can mount boards easier I think!
