If anyone does this simply with a fan, relay and switch please post your parts list.

Ignorant question. I have the manual A/C. Any way to tap into the A/C switch to trigger the fan that way?

My 2020 Is a Mexico Truck and I don't think it has the Consensor Fan. I only see the Trans Cooler and engine oil cooler in front of the radiator.

Pink wire activates the fan. Connector A14, pin 16 is the ground to the condenser relay. Find the Air Conditioner Amplifier, look at connector A14 and you might have a working solution.

so in one year, this truck has been recalled for TSS/Pre-collision; fuel pump and A/C.

    Last Toyota period.

Those issues are peanuts compared to other makers. Trying having a jeep and having to replace entire instrument clusters, Re-welding the frame, Replace Steering Boxes. Thats the crap i had to deal with in my Jeep Wrangler. Those were serious repairs.

These Toyota ones are just in and out procedures. My jeep was gone weeks at a time for its repairs.

damn never knew that was the alternative. I'd like to see manufacturers get back to simpler vehicles with less problems. The more gimmicks they add, the more problems arise.

Ya it was horrible. Not to mention it doesn't help that the JEEP Dealers in my area all sucked. So far we've had good luck with our Toyotas. 2018 4runner and 2020 Tacoma.

This a/c is not a recall. So depending on the year you may have 1 or 2 (wasn’t there a third for some?)

I have 2- the tss wasn’t anything major (I guess if yours wasn’t malfunctioning) and the fix was rather elementary (regarding the 3m foam/water shield). And The fuel pump recall without a fix (this seems like a bigger job- I thought someone said dropping the tank?)

If you don't use the Battery Charger Circuit, it can be re-purposed to the Condenser Fan use. Just one wire into the cab (pink) for activation.

Had it done yesterday, I talked with the tech about issues others have had as far as wiring being really tight and not being able to open the original fuse cover . Dude did a really good job with the wiring and it’s clean . Some photos B704E358-78E6-44BB-A907-74C302F7CE09.jpg260AD234-7FF1-4054-9637-63A416D58BAD.jpg

Wow, they did a much better job with the wiring than they did with mine. I had to redo all the under hood wires and half the under dash stuff.

Your post was one I remembered the wiring being done like shit , not sure what they charge Toyota when you had it done but it was a few bucks under 1700.00 . And now that it’s not as hot I guess I’ll just have to wait and see next summer
