I have quite a bit of FUN, aka cedar point amusement park. I live in the area so I have had it since I was born "literally". My parents set some up and it continues to roll. The dividends are excellent. It is up around $18, but I bought a literal shit load at $13.50... Keep an eye on it I value it at $40-50 all day long.

This will be a slow to recover stock, I foresee this summer not going well for the tourist industry. Depends how long you want to hold onto things.

Sorry I meant QQQ not SQQQ in that sentence, being a contrarian and expecting bad news to begin anew after that. It just came back to my buy price..........we'll see.

They will have to cut that 23% dividend yield they currently have, unless the market recovers real quick. I'd still hold like you, but I would expect that.

Edit: Current payout ratio is 161%, that's impossible to sustain.

Yep, all correct. But they aren't going to close indefinitely. I also own a lot of Disney... Cedar point is a "stay-cation" they are a great weekend get away. It will be some of the first outings before the big trips resume. I don't day trade like many. I sold a lot of Disney and McDonalds before the virus got here back in January. I had a loan with a balance I decided to wipe out. Sold enough to kill the payment and set back some reserves. I'm not an investing genius, but China was literally on fire... If it didn't cause a crash, I was able to get out of a $1000 payment. If it did cause the crash, I was on the hook for the payment and my stocks would be down. I'm now hoarding cash to hopefully buy another property. I sadly have to keep 1/3 of the proceeds held back for taxes.

Why did the market have be up today? Had a meeting with my wealth manager around 130 and after going over some value stocks hit hard like oil and airlines ... just could not bite so purchased 5 k more of NVDA.but was expecting it to be more of a bargain. Oh well, fully expect it to be a gold hold :muscleflexing:

Do any of you trade options? I never have, but it seems like a market like this would be the perfect time to?

Maybe a publicly traded gym (if there is one), in a few months when everyone realizes how fat they got working from home.

Is there a specific trading software that is preferred? I saw its was discussed a little last week, but I don't feel there was a clear answer.

I do. I'm sitting on NVDA May 15 250 Call right now. Do your research if you decide to play with them. Unlike stocks you can loose everything with options pretty easily. You can also make a lot. High risk, high reward is the name of the options game.
