Just purchased more NVDA today and was hoping to get at 250 ... not into options but longterm. So are you saying that your belief is NVDA will be under 250 per share on may 15? ... was thinking of waiting till later in week or do a set buy at 255 which would seem logical with the wild swings. Timing the market is luck so just purchased anyway despite the uptick. Also, since no clue on options ... please give a breif laymans gist for the clueless like me..thx

Yea if going that route looked at XOM which would be my pick with more upswing and lower buy in ... but just couldn't pull trigger.

As everything tanks what are the chances of boomers pulling everything out and stopping spending on top of that?

    maybe Bitcoin or ripple haha

I'm worried about central banks taking profits..:angrygirl:

Honestly if the boomers dumped stocks and stopped spending in a free market it would bring all prices down to levels for all us non leveraged x'ers and millennials to build up real wealth. With the markets and all prices being propped up, not so much as we are not in a free market. I hope we dont get saddled with unemployment in the shitter, with a prolonged recession and inflating prices, that would blow.

The bank and Vegas always win. The banks are essentially what will cause all the boomers to lose everything. When CD's at the bank offer 0.5% interest on your money, and you need that interest to supplement your SS and retirement, you are forced to look for greener pastures AKA the markets. My fear is the TRILLIONS of $$$ being printed and dropped into the markets and businesses. Inflation, or deflation, or stagflation blah blah it means we make less and shit costs more. Banks are screwing the world with fees, charges, and bullshit. It COSTS you money to let the bank hold your money. They spent more money in postage to mail me a statement than they gave me in interest last year. Look at the futures for today in the market... UP 735 for today??? Up over 1000 yesterday??? WTF??? I will now refer you to Mr. George Carlin for a lesson....

Another dead cat bounce? Do you read/the wall street journal/New York Times or do you go straight to the source for futures?

I think the market has hit bottom. No recession. No crash. It’ll be a U shape curve from here on out.

I really want to believe that, so much, but we still have another month of social distancing and layoffs, unemployment, and businesses shut down.. Still scary about it

I read all of those and more... I only have stocks that have hard assets and physical presence. I don't day trade, I supplement my passive income with long term dividend yielding stocks. McDonalds, Disney, and Cedar Point are my big three. The majority of all of my investments is in Realestate in the form of land and rentals.

    Yup.

I think we'll be seeing continued volatility for a bit. We may have seen the lowest of the low but I'm not sure we're done with big drops yet either.

@FirstTimeTaco2020 Beware of the flip. You are depending on others to pay you. Flippers enjoy a horrible reputation in the market for cheap and shoddy work. Try to find a duplex. When you flip it increases your taxes from the income. When you rent you enjoy the tax shelter and it helps you to build wealth and reduce your tax liability. The only thing cooler than owning a taco is driving the same exact truck while writing it off!!!

Articles from any time period, no matter how good or bad things are going, are pure doom and gloom. If it ain't this, it's that. That actually taught me to invest regardless of anything, it's always the same story with the media.
