I’m looking to upgrade all my audio. I got in touch with mr. Marv and having him to build me a box for a single 10. I’m looking for some component speakers and amp. What do people recommend. I haven’t been into audio in 15 years.

That will buy a nice set of speakers for the front. Replace the headunit when you get more disposable cash.

I’d get the best pair of fronts I could for now then I’d spend 150-175 on a brick amp such as the kicker key or if you don’t mind using some space in the back near your sub an amp from JL audio such as JD series is a really solid amp for the money. I’ve actually just added a jd amp to my setup and am very imporessed. With oem headunit look for higher sensitivity ratings for your speakers. 91db+

The amp I’m looking at is a 5 channel GMD9705
    Kenwood Excelon KMM-X704 head unit

That’s probably a good amp too. I have the 1600w mono block of same series just sitting around and actually in my marketplace thread for sale. Those seem to be highly rated and thought of amps and I love my Kenwood head unit so you’re definitely on the right track

Both amp and head unit has good reviews. My sub will be a image dynamics idq4 v4. I think it will be a nice all around setup.

I finally decided on component speakers. And if like to give a big thanks to mr. Marv. For getting me set up with the right stuff. He’s a busy man Im I’ll be excited to see the box when he gets it done.
    Image dynamics idq10 v4 d4
    Pioneer GM-d9705
    Audio frog g60s
    Mr marv sub box
    Kenwood Kmx 503
If I ever need a box or have audio questions I’ll go to him. Good guy for sure.
