I’m curious what long term social impacts this will have on society as a whole.

and yes, I’m ready for life to regain some sense of normalcy

Social impacts hopefully people realize that the govt isn't who you should rely on and that if your fucking sick no matter what stay home. Economic impacts are going to be extremely bad. Over 11 million on unemployment so far, 500k in NC. Smaller companies shutting down more supply of workers than jobs, etc. This is going to be a shit fit.

No I know that the economic impacts are going to be nothing like we've seen since the great depression.. even then the population is so much greater that it will likely be worse.

I mean the social component of it. I had to run into lowes today and I was finding myself getting into rage mode because people were walking past me and I could feel the breeze hitting me in the face. I dont want to touch people and it will likely be a long time before I shake hands with anyone other than someone I know. That sort of thing..

I also exist in the human and social component of this world we live in much more than others.. so i guess that is always on the forefront of my mind.

In lighter news, its a full moon tonight, i believe.. so that means some epic shell hunting on the island tomorrow. The wife and kids are pretty stoked on that

I'll text you a very good video from my cousin's friend who is a Pulmonary doc at a NYC hospital that is only a Rona virus hospital now. It's actually a lot more calming than well what's being shoved in our face 24/7 from everywhere else. It's an hr long video though.

I'll make sure to give you a big hug next time I see you :D:boink::bananadead::anonymous:

I broke my ankle back the middle of Feb, been on light duty since, got the “boot” off last week, go for my “back to work” testing on Monday.
The down side, I haven’t had any OT since, the upside for one of my coworker is he got to work with me for the last 4-6 weeks, which has kept him in hours until recently. Work is getting slim currently, hopefully able to stay working for the duration. Bonus I’m a senior in the shop so got that going.
Wife hasn’t been working, not worth the risk for her to be out in the soup given her last year of treatment.

There are numerous OT docs and personal trainers out of work. If you need strengthening I’d recommend digging into that crowd and I’d bet you would find someone ready to rock and roll to help you rehab
