It looks identical at first look. But haven’t found exactly the relay you are talking about.
Let mw know if i can assist sone other way.
For sure mines a canadian, but it would be odd that they build that part differently. But never know.

You may already have it, but while looking for another issue I had doing de power tailgate, I found the wiring diagram for the entire 3rd gen on another tread. I can try to locate my local copy and see where the problem could occured.

Thanks TOOL Qc, I have the tow package, I read in other threads that that some vehicles came missing the relay as assembly defect, so maybe that could be the reason. That relay is located behind the globebox, I will remove it later to inspect, Thanks for your info, I will keep the thread updated with my findings :pccoffee:

Where did you read this? Behind the glovebox there are no relays on the 3rd Gen.

    You are right Mr Caribe!

I was reading a post on lighting section, but did not notice the guys posting had olders tacos, btw I found the relay, it is there, I guess if this would be defective the upper cargo light wont turn on, right?

I tried to pull the relay out for testing it but could not, maybe there is a lock or just need to pull with more force

    I"m working on it.
Thanks for the write up! This is one of the projects high on my “coronavirus” todo list. Any idea if it’s the same with a 2016?

You are correct. If the Cargo lamp illuminates, the relay is working. Your're going to have to trace the wiring from the rear bed corners going into the cab. There might be a fuse holder before the tap to the Cargo Lamp wires.

Just the fact that i cut the connector that came with the LED. Kind of intuitive, but decided to add it.
Edit: i guess you were talking to Caribe and the 2 connector he showed... sorry didn’t see the complete comment. ✌️

I suppose the option could be to keep LED connector, but cut on the other side where you would use it to connect to the truck connector. It would have 2 connectors, the Toyota one and the LED as shown.
Could be an idea if you would like to keep a longer wire or reuse somewhere else later.

Sorry forgot to answer that. I doubt the connectors are there for 2019 and under as the OE option is not possible. You can still have the lights you want and either wire with a switch or connect to the cargo switch.
You could tap in the wire, or make a small harness like some do for the tailgate lock. It cost more but you are not cutting through your truck wires.

Not good news from my side
I was looking for an online source for the pin conectors and they will take a month or more to arrive to my location, I did not want to go local stores
So I asked for the OEM kit to the local dealership and it costs only 30 USD, that is affordable!
I got the kit and installed myself and what a surprise, it does not work! I reviewed the relay, it is there, it works, the cargo switch is there, it works, the tird brake ligth works properly, the harness is there, I followed the wiring and looks ok, and no power on these lights!
For the next service I will ask the dealership to look into the issue

    Thanks for your guidance guys!

    Wow! 30$us! That’s awesome!
It’s really weird that it doesn’t work!?
I guess it should be working, it should be covered.
Let us know what they found!
    Good luck! ✌️

I ran into the exact same issue: 2020 Taco Sport, all pre wired, switch and relay are present, Cargo light works with the switch, but no power on the bed lights! Parras, did you find anything else?

My friend I reviewd the harness, everything I could and nothing found, I am guessing if it has to be software activated, I am waiting for the next service to ask the dealer to fix it

Two screws and a clip are the only thing holding the rear lamps...remove and take a look...
