I noticed that your TT web page is down. Have you figured out what the final price would be for each kit?

    Where’s your battery?

Pass side seems large enough for me.

Perhaps this is why the kit is only running 5 - 6 lbs of boost?

I'm definetly interested to see what you come up for the TVS1900. Any chance the upgraded injectors will come from a Lexus IS F... lol? I have 2UR-GSE engine in the garage that could donate them.

Ya but no Bov kind of adds a little more sleeper and a little more oem feel which I think is also pretty cool.

I can't say with 100% certainty on this but I'm pretty sure Magnuson said they expect the baseline SC to produce 10-11psi, but they did have several pulleys at the ready to find a happy medium.
If the stock fuel system is the limiting factor...price to hp ratio is gonna suck

it's .....loud. Half the problem is the turbos spool so easily that casual driving will have a mild spool noise. Step into the throttle a bit more and jet engine engages.

Yes I know what the final prices are going to be. There will be some slight modifications to the price from what we originally posted a while back, but not much.
The main price change is going to be to the base kits, but not much.

    Thanks for the reply.

The old port injected 2GR w/ 10.8 CR in the Lotus produces 410 hp at 9.8 psi. So if you say the fuel isn't there with the FKS, the boost will have to be lower.

The FKS engine is in a bit of a unique predicament.
    1. it relies heavily on the direct injectors for fueling (almost all, outside of idle).
    2. the stock Direct injection system has difficulty keeping up with fuel demand at higher boost levels. (pretty much higher than the base kit we developed)
    3. It has a port injection system. So we *could* upgrade the port injectors and rely on them to provide all the extra fueling
    4. Relying on the port injectors to supplement fueling causes a problem. Knock. The compression ratio of this engine + Boost + port injection for fuel = knock.
    5. So in order to get decent ignition numbers in boost, you still need to rely heavily on the direct injection system.
    6. To get the direct injection system in a state that is capable of handling this, you have to upgrade the direct injectors, target higher fuel pressure (2500psi) at high loads, and retune the Fuel Pump duty, duty limits, etc.

Slap a SC with 10psi on a stock fuel system and you will destroy your engine.

LUCKILY...upgrading the fuel system is not very hard. It's just expensive.

DI is one of the best inventions! I'm grateful there are folks like you around that can deal with and excel at the programming behind it... not my cup of tea. Now, put a set of nice oil gallery pistons and titanium valves in my hands.

Without Port injection, DI is pretty crappy. Thats why the 17+ ecoboosts run both now. Nothing sucks more than having a piece of carbon build up chip off your valve and into your cylinder wall and make a nice little groove. Mind you the bonuses of having DI plus port makes some serious power with the right fueling.

Pure speculation here - but since Magnuson's Jeep kit is the same price as the Tacoma kit for the same size blower I think that the Tacoma kit would include new port injectors since that is what they include for the Jeep kit.

Now the dreaming part is that OVT comes out with an upgrade kit with new direct injectors, fuel pump/controller to maximize the Magnuson SC.

At the end of the day i'm really curious to see the dyno charts of all the FI options stack up against each other - especially once OVT has his chance to work his magic on them.

Well dammit @OVTune you're starting to sell me on the turbo system if all this fuel work needs to be done anyway. I guess I'll wait and see what the final numbers and boost Magnuson goes with. I really want that supercharger whine over BOV sound though (I think fast and furious ruined it for me). Would you consider putting out a supercharger tune (or still considering making your own supercharger kit?) for people that want more than Magnuson gives?

Concur on that point! Toyota's D4S with the port injectors keeps things clean.

Here is *a* video I have.
my drone is fxxxed so... in cab vids.

Yes street videos next. It's just much easier to test out here. The cows were pretty interested.

this is 4Low testing which is spins all 4 in dirt
check engine light is due to missing rear 02s (using the bungs to log wideband AF)
The metal rattle is the lug nut wrench. Loose under the seat.

    it's running beautifully.

but as you can see.. the turbos are really loud.

This is with the torque converter NOT locked in 4L. It does better when locked. (working tuning that)
it feels "soggier" when unlocked in boost
