Yes, just corrected my post. Was supposed to say LED DRL.

Yes, I bought the TRD headlights with the LED DRL that came off an OR and had them shipped directly to Kevin.

I'm gonna try and get my stock light warrantied tomorrow. Or buy a stock right side SR5 Headlight and deal with the BHLM down the road.

Check the BST section. They pop up now and then. Especially now that a lot of people upgrade to the Morimoto or arex LED headlights. @no vtec 4me usually links to them as well in his thread whenever he comes across a set that’s for sale.

If they don’t warranty your light, and depending what a single SR5 headlight costs, I would definitely look into getting a set of TRD headlights. Right now you can get them for fairly cheap. The harness is another $50 if you don’t want to do your own wiring.

Have the new OEM led headlights been tested in this thread. I tried jumping around in the thread but 136 pages is a lot to comb through.

Is this amount of moisture in one of our headlights normal. My dealer says it just condensation. It's water , just not condensation. They don't want to fix it . Ideas. Thoughts. IMG_20200405_160739.jpg

That’s not normal at all, should 100% be replaced.

Took it in twice. They said they wouldn't do anything unless it had standing water. Well good luck with that. Our lights have a drain hole in the bottom. So I had to open a case and it's already escalated. Should not have had to do it. Should just be fixed

@no vtec 4me . Can you tell me for sure if there is drain hole or vent on the bottom of our lights

there are, I believe, two vents, nothing on the bottom of the light though.

So I pulled out a high beam bulb. Grabbed my garden hose. Attempted to fill up my light. Water pooled up for a minute. Then all drained out the bottom. Must be a bad seal. Don't know what else it would be. Anyone else have a light to test my theory.

So looking at an actual light, there’s two air vents in these locations. Nothing on the actual bottom, but these are pretty low.

Well. So much for my dealer saying they would only warranty it if it had standing water. It will never have standing water. Lol

Not yet. Still need to get some of those.

LOL, that is a headlight test I have not done. Lights have vents that are supposed to keep water out but allow air pressure to equalize between the inside of the light and the atmosphere.

Just swapped it out. Just bought one. Took it off and low and behold , it's full of water. Can't see it from the front. I hate Dealers. And especially know it all service writers. Service writers are just washed out Techs. Don't you know
