Alright; I have to publicly admit I have now taken on too big of a project on an area that my knowledge is about a 5/10; so Im seeking help :fingerscrossed:

I am trying to do the following upgrades on my 2016 non jbl taco OR

    Installing:

    Pioneer 1400-nex with Maestro kit
    Kicker Hideaway HS8

    Parts I have:
    Kicker Hideaway
    Head unit
    Maestro Kit
    ********* wiring harness
    Metra 71-1761 and Metra 70-1761

I bought the ********* harness with the purpose of installthing all of this to the stock unit. However; I found the pioneer unit with maestro kit for only $200 (steal of a price) after I just received the harness from *********.

I Amazon primed the metra harnesses so in the chance i cannot use the ********* harness; i have these for backup.

I am stuck however on nearly all of this. I read into @exracer02 post that he made awhile back on this install. Part of the instructions were really good (like connecting the two metra kits together) but a lot of the post jumped around and I got lost. So; does anyone have any idea or post that describes all of this is further detail? at this point; I am at scratch point because I have now gotten lost on what wiring i do/do not need, where to connect, etc.

The maestro harness/wiring is already plugged into the headunit. The guy i got the unit from left it all on there for me so all i need to plug in I believe is the actual maestro adapter and he said possibly a 4-5 black wire connector.

I am beginning to take the dash apart so hopefully some of you are bored and are willing to help a noob out here

Thank you all in advance! if any pictures are needed of what I have I can add them! I am
posting a few to get the ball rolling.

Can’t help you but put one little 8 inch JL Audio behind the seat and it’s all you need.

yes that’s what my kicker is. I think it’ll be just perfect for the little extra sound I want.

    Cool stuff
It’s really easy with the maestro .... wire up the stereo harness to the maestro harnes. The maestro website has instructions on what wires go to where on the harness
