Yo G, follow the steps in this video and let me know what happens. You'll be manually forcing a harvest cycle of the ice, you're wanting to see the fingers cycle around as if to eject the ice cubes and then you'd expect to see the water pouring in from back water line on back of freezer into ice maker.
It's all done on a timer, which is much better than the new garbage they try to make ice with thermistors and 'digital' controls and fancy and all that crap. It's not as reliable as the timer.
Your style of ice maker system is still the most reliable

 

This little arm thing will not go back into the slot

 

Anything will go with enough force.

You broke it. Have to throw the whole freezer away now...or turn it into a dedicated keg fridge.

Hard to tell for me, that end of the harvest arm with times on it that you're holding, is the end broke off? Does the ice maker cycle? Did it fill with water after cycling?
If that end of arm is broken off, then you need a new ice maker itself. It's an easy thing to replace. Hopefully the water solenoid valve still functions and fills the ice maker, it's a seperate component.
Send me a pic of the model/serial tag and I can hunt down the correct part number to buy. Or you can yourself just make sure to use your fridge model number to source the ice maker, can be lots of little differences. It's important to use your fridge's model number to get the correct part number of ice maker
