Testosterone is produced in the testes so that's gotta be the reason. I've had 3 males in the last 25 years. Everyone of them was snipped at 2-3 years old.

That's part of the struggle. So many differing opinions. I'd need to looking into getting my YTDVM to make an accurate assessment.

Where I'm at today tho, I probably wait to neuter until 2-3yo, if at all.

Jax got neutered at about 1.5. I was hoping to wait until 2 but he was getting some strong aggressive tendencies, even towards immediate family, so I had him cut early. He’s now very level-headed and overall a very good boy

Only you can make that decision. I had a male Chesapeake Bay Retriever who was a decent dog. No issues. But then I got another male Chesapeake Bay. There swere ome issues, but no too bad. Was a mistake on my part having two male Chesapeake, but that's just the way it rolled out. Anyway, when the younger one got to be about two he started showing the big dog mentality. Well, there was a chance I might breed him so I neutered the older one. He was 6, I think. Not sure. It changed nothing. Later, after he passed, I got a female GSP that I have now. I got the remaining Chessie neutered because I didn't want a mixed breed litter. I never once had an issue with the Chessie, not even with other intact male dogs. He was always a sweetheart, except with our other male Chesapeake. I'm just not certain it makes a big difference. I suppose it just comes down to each individual dog. But this is just my anecdotal evidence.

That reminds me; This Wuhan Flu / quarantine shit needs to end. Soon. The astronomical event known as Taco Tuesday falling on May 5th is right around the corner.

I think the biggest reason to remove the berries are the aggressive tendencies. But idk, it seems like a lot of problems are mostly related to the puppy raising and socializing-which is not to say testosterone doesn't play a part it sure does. I will say the humping anything that moved stopped once the berries were gone...

    Facts.
He was getting aggressive with my niece, whom he'd play with every single day since adoption. Once that happened, it was time to cut. Nothing to do with socialization or raising because he's a total sweetheart unless he's protecting his territory or his people (i.e. the truck). Otherwise, all he wants are pets and fetch throws.

    :(

It feels like the public should be allowed to fish so long as physical distancing requirements are met and that should be pretty easy. What won't be easy is insisting people from different households travel and stay separately-assuming the hotels would be be open.
