Holy Hell, You guys/gals have been some busy bees on this thread today.

Crushed 12 yards today. Went to the big box to get Mulch for a clients house. Like stated earlier, it’s obvious how stupid the masses are, as they all stood in line with their 4/5 bags of mulch to fit in the Prius.

I did have to tell one person who asked me about my 185 bags of mulch, “did you really think that was essential today?”
Then I pointed out the amount of people in the line and promptly said, the odds are that at least three people in line have this virus.
He looked at me and said Jesus!

I said “No, he isn’t going to help you with your mulch purchase”

This is one of those jobs that people have that amazes me. The process and planning. Then the shear scale of it all.

I’ve got an art school degree also.

 

Tried all those & they never killed me. This just might. Not the fall, the work schedule.

 

That would have been my first guess after getting to know you a bit. I am also guessing that you got a Minor in either Drama or Music.
What was your area of interest?

I was a sculpture with some skills in design and animation. I ended up creating my own degree thru the IDS program at UGA. In which I took half Drama (acting, cinematography, lighting design, and script writing), the other was focused on digital media specifying in 3D animation. I wanted to work for Pixar when I was young.

My career started as a designer at a local TV station, then I went to work in Post as an animator/compositor running 3D Apps.
Started up my own business making commercials for Ford, Coke, Home Depot, Marines, etc.
Later went Turner Entertainment as an AD. to launch a new Network and oversee some of their brands.

Fast forward I burnt out like a race car before I hit 40. Now I own a small landscape biz, in which I only work every other week. The rest of the time is BRAAAPpppp for me.

 

I started with industrial design then switched to fine arts. I did multi media sculpture with sound and video. I took every fine arts class the school offered, we didn’t have a drama department. I graduated the year they brought computers into the school, photoshop 2.0 had just been released, I missed that boat.

Sounds like you actually used your degree. I started doing remodeling right after graduation. I almost went to the Chicago Institute of Art to get a masters degree, but decided to be a traveling hippie carpenter instead.
