DO NOT BLAME THE US AIR FORCE MEMBERS WITH THIS!! They are a highly-intelligent, highly-skilled force, especially with the missions performed from Beale.

Blame their wives. A Dependa is a Dependa, no matter the branch of service they married into.

Home and barracks inspections with confiscation of baby wipes is the way to go.

My young ass LT has to call me everyday to make sure I’m not sick and is now supposed to stop by my house each week to ask if I’m ok in person, even though I see him at the rest of the guys at work everyday.

Home inspections are illegal without owner approval. I know it was sarcasm, I did have a DIV CSM (25th ID- CSM Jones- complete dip shit) try to make all his 1SGs go to houses on and off post in HI. We ignored him for weeks until he finally figured out trespassing and privacy laws apply to him to.

    A. It's a "blouse."
B). Field work permits a modified uniform.

When I was in combat comm, we'd have what we called our "dress BDUs" in our lockers. We'd come in from working on gear, clean up, and put our clean stuff on and go to lunch. After lunch, put the dirty stuff back on and go back out to working on equipment.

Can't a have clean, dry, and serviceable uniform if you let it get dirty, wet, and torn.

In the Navy there's a saying "Choose your rate, choose your rate." Looks like in the Air Force they have a specialty code for Human Fecal Waste Specialist that considers base housing "the field" but involves going elbow deep in pre-owned baby wipes.

Mostly I was being sarcastic, the last 15-20 years of the army has been VERY against removing your top. It’s up there with walking and talking on a cell phone, and putting your hands in your pockets. Afghanistan was really the only exception, even Iraq rarely had that luxury.

When I have Sailors in a working party they can deblouse and uncover if they want. Any shitbird "leader" that comes along and bothers them can tell at me why I'm a failure, I'll survive. If they are cold they can put their hands in their pockets, not gonna hurt anyone. There are enough things to worry about without adding in some out of touch dude's interpretation of military neatness or smartness. A soldier/sailor/airman/marine that is worried about sweating out his cammies before a formation or that is worried about their cold hands is not going to do their assigned responsibilities to the best of their ability. I care more about performance than appearance, especially when it comes to standards written in vague terms open to interpretation.

Sounds like a monstrous waste of time.
Back when the service was for men, we would go into the galley right off a chopper totally unsat.

JG’s were the ones that fucked with us. Once.

the LT’s and above usually set them straight pretty quick. If they didn’t, we did. Had more than a few JG’s try to write us up for insubord and not showing the proper “respect”.
If it got to the commander via said JG, oh boy, that poor POS left sans an ass.
Then again, we were pretty proficient in the field, we got a lot of slack back in militaryville.
I actually was given my service pistol when I Dd214’ed. Still have that bitch.
