    Me! I bought them on the first upswing and sold and then bought 796 shares for $3K yesterday, made almost $1K today. I’m going to hold until they’re back at pre-virus levels which should net $13K profit

    Well the market did the complete opposite of what I thought today, but that's OK cannot guess or 2nd guess. MAIN, MPW, SRC, PRU, FLC gave me a fat party so I was up near 2% today with the market down. I expected a shitty start and then close slightly up...........

    Man I hope people are NOT just buying SQQQ and such without fully understanding what it is. In basic (very basic) terms it is a BEAR fund, you are betting the market will go DOWN. Which is something the market has NEVER done over time. The market is biased to go UP. So that should tell you it's not something to buy and hold. You hold MAYBE for a few days MAXIMUM. Never buy it naked either. You will get slaughtered. I hope I am being clear this kind of stuff is RISKY. It's a short hedge at best. If the market tanks, you get some jockey short insulation so the shit doesn't come out and hit the fan. BUT it also holds back your portfolio from maximum gains on large bull days. Really should not buy when market is in a confirmed rally. I think THAT is a enough warning.

    Someone mentioned they bought STOR. Fine company I have own the stock for many years. Doubled my money, luckily sold it in January. Bought back under $20 and currently is still a great buy.

    As for options, no I just don't have the time to dedicate to learn and play options until I retire. I have the HUGE book on options, and until fully understand all the nuances, I am going to stay away.

    It isn't, but it's still relevant. US is slowly but surely getting overpopulated and that plays a huge part in the market and economy. Which isn't addressed in here much ie. the shitton of people that can invest on their phone from their couch whether they know what they're doing or not. That's gotta be a part of the huge volatility we're seeing lately

    This seems like a safe buy really. Good strategy IMO. (not that I have ANY experience but it looks like a stable option if you look at the history.)

    I read someone mentioning Carnival yesterday, who was it? The stock increased 24% overnight as a "Saudi Sovereign-Wealth Fund disclosed stake". They had a decent day and looks like a lot of potential using @pdaddy method in hopes that things recover to "pre virus." Don't know how long that will take. Thoughts?

    I think at this point you can pretty much just pick any company and hold them hoping for pre-virus gains lol. I
    Previously was looking at cruise lines, but now I am looking at FUN because of the gains and dividend as the cherry on top

    It’s down big now in after hours too. I don’t know why, but my best guess would be anticipation of a dividend cut. It’s yielding like 20%, so it’s just a matter of when at this point. Income investors, dividend funds, etc. would want to get out. Long term holders will be buying now though.
