Looking for suspension suggestions from those that carry the weight of a four wheel camper or similar. I already have E load range tires and firestone airbags. I am now looking to upgrade the factory suspension to something that will help with the weight. I don’t carry the camper full time so I don’t want the stiffest leaf springs available just something to help out the airbags and provide minimal lift. OME and Dobinson’s are on my radar, I am wanting to get some first hand feedback from people that have upgraded their suspension for a similar reason. Thanks

I do not have anything on the truck like the 4 wheel camper, but, With the weight on the steel rear bumper and spare hanging off the back and the tongue weight ( around 300pounds) of the camper hooked up I would think it would be similar. I am also a 2nd gen but don't think that really makes a huge difference in this aspect. If you think this is comparible enough let me know

I think tongue weight may be a good bit different. My camper is 1200lbs of payload in the bed. I know..over GVWR.

OK I would think still good to look into a set of Deaver stage 3 leaf packs with 2 overloads and a set of Archive garage Hammer Hangers. The Hammer Hangers really tighten up the rear of the frame, help wih load and daily driving. The deavers are a progressive leaf pack and while heavy duty when unloaded still ride very well. Just a couple of options sorry i couldn't help more

I'd speak to Mike at Dobinsons @Crikeymike He knows these trucks well and helped dial mine in perfectly.

I'm happy to help with any questions you have. Lots of guys running FWC's in Tacoma's are running Dobinsons suspension.
