My neighbor ran the tip of one finger over a supercharger belt/pulley wiping it with a rag with some belt dressing on it. I was like, dude, did you ever consider wiping it on the down-swoop away from the pulley??

There are many...when I worked AFRCC 29-30 years ago, we had numbers to call when our search areas included restricted areas.

 

So far my renter is paying as well. No reason she can't.
She's on Social Security disability, so she gets her money every month regardless.
Plus Housing Assistance pays most of the rent anyway, and I get the monthly electronic deposit like clockwork.
MD is pretty generous on that. They oughta be, for the taxes their residents pay...
Anyway...

A certain person...
...was unhappy when I bought the condo a year and a half ago.
I cashed out some stocks to do that and made some money on the deal.
Back then, who knew the stock market would tank like it has?

That person was also unhappy when I rented the condo to the present renter.

Mrs Gritto: "Why are you renting to her?
Housing Assistance puts a ceiling on the rent and you could get more, maybe a couple hundred bucks more."

Me: "Cuz a little old lady ain't gonna wreck the joint. (I hope)
And the rent comes in like clockwork from Housing."

I'm feeling vindicated, on that at least.

We won't mention to her how the bottom has fallen out for my oil and marijuana stocks...
But it's not like I'm forced to sell them at the present time, and I'd have to be pretty stupid to do so.

Story time.

When I was maybe 6, my Dad got a Hereford calf from another farmer.
We were a dairy farm and had Holsteins, not beef cattle.

So my Dad castrates him straight off.
Now he's a steer.
He (it?) had his own pen and looking after him became my job.

I called him Herbie.
Herbie the Hereford.

Well, as he got bigger it dawned on me that cattle are really stupid and they definitely ain't pets.
You give names to pets, not cattle.
I suppose that was the point of the exercise in making him my responsibility.

Anyway...we ate him.

I was snoring away so beautifully when I get bounced out of bed by peals of thunder at 3 am.
I check the weather and a bigass hailstorm is supposed to be coming.
